Flags

Does anyone know how I would go about changing what flag does what? I'd like to change what functions the Johto Badges does. I bet it require ASM, but I'm sure it would just aquire changing a single byte or two. For example, I'd like the 3rd badge to make Fly functional instead of Strength. I tried changing the name(didn't work, still showed as H4 and HM04)and changing the HM function by switching 4 with 2 which works I guess, but I'd have to change all the Pokemon's data to work with the "strength" move and so on and that's a lot of work. Changing the Badges function would be easier I bet.

Re: Flags

I've got all these views, yet not one person can answer my question.

Re: Flags

I have said before that people answer when they have the time or inclination. Complaining when only five hours have gone by does not give them more time, and may reduce their inclination to help.

Re: Flags

You're on the right path but I'm afraid that's all I can tell you (for now).

P.S
Have you played Dark Future beta 2 ?
If you have, you can see that HM01 can be used although you've no badges.

Re: Flags

Well, I've looked at your thread asking help about that, but you only posted the area for badge 1. If I knew the locations for all the flags used to indicate the HM functions, that'd be great.

You can easily figure out the rest after you understand what the three first bytes in the area of badge 1 mean.

Re: Flags

1A 00 is the flag number. I can't just expect to find the other badge bytes because there are other bytes with the same number and letters.
