(Pokered) Name glitch in evolution

Hello.  I am having trouble with added pokemon evolutions. They were working well until some pokemon started having their basic stage as their nickname. For example, this is the Shuckle pre-evolution I made. Its name is Shuckie.

When he evolves into Shuckle, its Name is still Shuckie, like if Shuckie was a nickname.

Is there a way I can fix that?

We can't see images on your computer. You have to upload them somewhere.

Also, I was not able to recreate this problem.

It would help to have more information like:
How many new mon did you add?
Does this problem only happen when new mon evolve, or does this nickname glitch happen when any mon evolves?

Re: (Pokered) Name glitch in evolution

It sounds like that issue where looking up an entry from any list sometimes seems to think IDs above a certain number should be TMs or HMs because as usual Gamefreak was lazy. So since the Pokemon isnt named TM21 or whatever, it assumes it is nicknamed and doesn't rename it when it evolves. I know I eventually fixed this in Red++ but I forget exactly what it took. I'll try to remember to check after work.
