Adding new moves to crystal with pokecrystal?

Okay, so I know this is a long shot, but can I add new moves to pokemon crystal using the assembly? I noticed that in move_constants there are 3 unused values (FC, FD, FE) which are in the animation portion of the file. Does that mean I can only add 3 moves? Or even 0 because they're in the animation part?

If I have to, I'll delete some other moves, but I'd prefer not to edit too much..

Yes, you can use those 3 slots; just add three more lines below BEAT_UP in battle/moves/moves.asm to give them attributes. Beyond that you'll have to start replacing moves.

There are pretty many similar moves that can be consolidated, though. Protect and Detect do the same thing; Foresight and Mind Reader do the same thing; Mean Look and Spider Web do the same thing; Defense Curl and Withdraw do the same thing. And maybe you don't need three OHKO moves, or three Bone-related moves for Cubone/Marowak, or bad moves like Psywave and Poison Gas.

If you really need space you even could combine Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun, which only differ in what time of day is best; or Milk Drink and Softboiled, which do the same thing even though the concepts are different.

Yea I was thinking this. Thanks for the answer!
