Yeah, I know. The video said it was a work in progress.
Should I change the game's name? Google and YouTube always think I had meant to type Pokemon Gold instead of Pokemon Golden.
If you think I should, can you give me some ideas?

Well, try to combine some word into them.

(BTW, I don't get "Do you mean Pokémon Gold?" when I search for Pokémon Golden")
Sometimes I don't get it either.
However, YouTube always asks me "Do you mean Pokemon Gold?"
And you'll also be happy to know that you will be able to battle and trade in the final version of Pokemon Golden.

I don't think the new seats suit in this tileset, or at least being next to the table blocks.
The old seats were better but otherwise, it looks great.

I'm with Miksy on the seating issue. I think the old ones looked good, or at least the ones you have at the bar. The Pokemon Center seats look out of place. But other than that, nicely done!

All right, I'll change it back. Thanks for the comments.

Okay, I was getting ready to release a beta tomorrow, so I was finishing things up and beta testing. I ran into a bug I had seen before. The bug is:
Whenever I enter the underground or gym in Goldenrod City, the game will just freeze.
I'm not sure if the trainers have anything to do with the freezes, because only maps with trainer battles in Goldenrod City freeze the game.
Does anyone know what happened?

Probably, you've made the script header buggy.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

Would it be better to try and fix this or restore from a backup? (Which is from like 3 weeks ago)

First of all, you should create lots of backups (shouldn't take that much room).
Second, if the glitch is caused by the script header, it can be fixed easily but I guess someone else should try to do it for you if you can't yourself.
You can find information about script headers in Tauwasser's compendium.

I do have a lot of backups, but about 30 of them have the bug in them.
I'll try fixing myself first

Hm, this sound like a problem I ran into when I disabled the map script of Mt.Moon where the rival waits for you.
My guess is that you screwed that map script up by 1, overwriting it or 2, ending it. I think those sort of Map Scripts are in ram as to be active which may cause this.
Your best bet is to use a different map....Or, look up the same map script from the original game and copied it back into your hack.
Pokemon Blue DX is reborn!
It's really not

Here's what Fuchsia City currently looks like:

The Mart moved and then later closed down as the manager of the mart has opened a new store in the Safari Zone. The area around the Mart has not been maintained for a while, which lead to the long grass.

No Safari Zone I'm guessing?
The Mart moved to the Safari Zone, so that means that there is a Safari Zone.

The PokéMart building in Fuchsia City is "locked", as it used two special PokéMart blocks that use the window tiles that do not light up at night (as the building is abandoned). The PokéMart's map itself will be accessible via the Safari Zone.

You could make it so that is uses a map of an empty Pokemart, has the lighting set so it is always dark inside, and have some hidden items lying around inside. If you want, of course.

Alright, now the first (real) beta has been released, along with a short list of what's in this beta. You can download it at the first post.
I uploaded it to MediaFire.
It took much longer to release this beta than expected, mainly because every time I was going to hack, I started playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney instead.

I've started to make an empty Pokemart, it will look abandoned inside, with a custom mart design that includes empty shelves, turned counters, and items scattered all over the floor. Of course, it will always be dark inside.

Well, I like the look of the map!
What's interesting about this map is to see that your mapping style is very different from my own - I often put straight borders between "normal ground" (white block) and grass but I think it mostly works in this map either way. Then again, I do have one- to two-block routes made with normal ground and there is grass around it (just like in this map on the left and in front of those two houses).
What's more, I also like having bigger borders than made of one tree-tile but you seem to stick with them quite a lot.
Nevertheless, I think the map looks cool and it's nice to see others don't make same kind of maps as I do.

I do a very condensed, crowded and maze-like routes with very dense towns with little space.
Your towns are very spacious however. It makes the towns look more homely and peaceful.
Yeah, I tend to like maps spacious more than crowded.

Looking good, as always. Are those custom graphics, or borrowed from a game that I didn't notice?
