how to patch a .ips file on a android device

You want to play a rom hack on your phone. You download it,but..huh...this is not a .gb file, it's a .ips file...what do I do?

(Required:Android device, Rom patcher app, a patch, and the rom)

1.Go into Rom Patcher and choose the rom and ips file.

2.Press "Rename patched Rom to:" and name it whatever you want(don't add .gb it will do it automatically)

3.Wait until it's done

4.Load it on a emulator

5.Play!

(This works with any game)

Ok but,why you are answering your own question.
If you know how to do something, then why you ask.

If he had to take the time to figure it out, chances are the information is valuable to someone else (lurkers or people coming in from google). This is common on StackOverflow, where the vast majority of traffic is through google.

It should go without saying that this is not spam.
