I thought you all might be interested in this. Me and my friend Eric are starting up a new web series called Glitch Werks. This will be all about explaining exactly why classic video game glitches occur. I'm not just going to guess... I'm going to look at the code and see exactly what happens.
Our first episode will be all about Missingno. What aspects of Missingno would you like me to cover?

I don't know if this is a right question or not. But how can they make your 6th slot item +99?

Hypothesis: the byte that represents the 6th item’s quantity also represents the “seen” Pokédex byte for Missingno. Seeing a Missingno. sets the highest bit, effectively adding 128 to the quantity. That’s why doing it again doesn’t give you more items unless you reduce the quantity enough to clear the bit.
I really like the idea. "As long as there will be video games, there will be glitches" So you will have enough material. ;]
It's interesting to see how the Minus World or playing as Master Hand in SSB works.

It won't just be Pokemon, I'll do other games too.
I'll probably do an episode on arcade kill screens: Why does Mario die in a few seconds on level 22 stage 1 in Donkey Kong? Why does Pacman give you a glitchy level at level 0?

Can you explain how Glitch City works? Not necessarily the city itself, but why saving in a certain spot allows you to walk through the building without it triggering the correct script.

This sounds like a nice idea !
Maybe with this some people will actually learn why some glitches do happen, not by just thinking that they're there for no reason.
