Hello there. Im having a problem with the title screen.
I did what Mateo said but i only get a white screen and the game freezes.
Why???

Are you hacking Gold or Silver? The offsets where the routines are stored is different between Gold and Silver if I remember. Also, the example offsets that I listed for inserting graphics were made up and not actual valid locations. I didn't want to just say "insert the graphics here" because those locations might not be free in your rom, so I said "Find some free space, write down the offset, and add &h in front so it looks like this". For example. the 0115D8CF offset I made up is actually just the gameshark code to turn all Wild Pokemon into Mew in Pokemon Red and Blue and not a valid location to insert graphics.

I'm using a pokemon silver rom. I tried also a gold rom but the same happens.
And no i didn't use 0x0115D8CF as offset i uset 0x62C0.


Also the link of image in the Titlescreen editing(Easier Method) does not work. Please re-upload if you have time.

Ok, I will try to get the image fixed over there. I had a lot of images that I had uploaded in the past break on me. I think it has something to do with the fact that imageshack isn't free anymore, and probably started deleting the images from my account because I didn't start paying for it after the switch. Anyway, I'll try to get the other thread fixed.

When the game freezes, is it as soon as you try to load the titlescreen that this happens? Or when you try to load the game in general?

It's ok.
And the game freezes when i get on the title screen after loading it.

Err, Bumping this old thread.. It remind me 4 years ago, I  confused with this things... nvm..


Now I tried to do this again, and figured out something, maybe was too late xD.

Even though I put 00 in 62bf for disabling the clouds scrolling, the cloud tiles still moving! can be seen in screenshot above

9878A-987B5 was a row for cloud tiles.. and still move.

also,
986FF-98702 was for Ho-oh Sparkle animation tile. ---This suddenly disappear..

maybe I was too stupid realize this now after 4 years, lol.

Thanks again Mateo, now I know how to do this xD

edit : sparkle animation stopped. So, just forgot the offset.
