Don't know if you've seen Lin's board for LA/Oracles hacking. It might do that board and this one some good to merge. At the moment this place is more like a retro section of PokéCommunity, despite being about the GBC in general.

Do you mean for the GBA? The Digimon games for the GBC appear to be of Chinese origin, there's some Engrish videos on YouTube.

I'll check it out. Yeah, it'd be neat to see more interest in hacking those games because I've always been curious about them but the community seemed so small and that was enough deterrent for me when I started getting interested in hacking.

Super Mario Bros Deluxe. Use the version 1.2 (REV B).

Lin's board doesn't seem to have much activity right now. I suggested merging Skeetendo with Lin's board earlier because more attention could be given to GBC hacking in general (Pokémon; Zelda; what other members have mentioned here; and so on). That was really the plan back when Twilight Hacking started. The associated site for various downloads, Twilight Catacombs, was more in that direction. Perhaps if merging did occur then a new board name could be used. Skeetendo was at first the hacking group of Mateo and Pyro. Strangely, neither of them come here anymore.

Well even thought the word "Pokémon" or anything like that doesn't actually appear anywhere, and it may seem like this is a GBC general forum, there are forum names like "Cross-gen", "Generation 1" and "Generation 2". So Skeetendo does imply that it is Pokémon specific.
I'm not trying to make a decision or anything. Just stating an observation.

TH was in reality focused on PKMN. Skeetendo, being the successor board, continued along that line. Especially since the Skeetendo hacking group worked on PKMN hacks.
My original plan for TH was to cover GBC hacking in general. Never got around to it. Thought I'd throw the idea out there, right here, anyway.

I think that some members of this site make only pokemon hacks because they are Pokemon fans and there might be members that only know how to hack pokemon games. And for pokemon games are many tools, but that does not mean that there aren't hacking tools for other games.(Sorry if i spoke wrong guys. Report it if you want :) )

Well personally, I'm not much of a pokemon fan really. The only reason I ever began to hack pokemon games was due to playing around with CrystalMap in late 2008, and eventually, I learned how the games worked. If I was to start another hack now, I might as well try out something totally different. Maybe a hack of Final Fantasy IV would do? Not that I would start any other hack anymore.. programming studies along with rom hacking are more than enough for me.
Of course, some people like game development, and I might also be developing games in the future, but for now, I doubt that. I think I will much rather want to use my "expertise" (which I as of now don't have... at least, not much) for something that would be actually useful.
But anyway... I think many others think likewise I do; stag, comet, koolboyman, danny, vitharix, and the list goes on and on (though I could be wrong!). They somehow "got stuck" in this scene just as I did, but instead of playing pokemon games, or even hacking them, they would much rather investigate and see how the games are coded. I find that more fun than playing hacks, or games, these days as well.

Bombah! suggested the Dragon Warrior Monsters games some time back. The Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru English translation may be of some interest:
Gameplay is a mix of platforming action and simple RPG elements. The engine for this game went on to be used for Link’s Awakening, and many plot elements were borrowed for later Zelda games.

I agree with this. I stumbled onto hacking games in early high school after using emulators to play games during free periods, and after I found how to use gameshark codes, it became clear to me that much more was possible. Then I got interested in the Pokemon Alpha and Beta stuff, and after a while I stumbled onto specifically Pokemon hacking by visiting a thread on here. Anyway, I've always had an interest in the workings of video games and since I found that this community had tools, frequent users, and plenty of documentation, it was pretty easy to stick around start doing some stuff myself. I appreciate the creative aspect more than anything and it seems like a huge accomplishment to complete something extensive. It would be nice though, to not be stuck in the box of Pokemon hacking. (It's my own decision where to focus my attention, of course, but you get my point.) As I've gone deeper into this stuff it's obvious that there is a lot that translates to other games, and other things that translate completely, so it shouldn't be as game-specific as it seems to be. As Hat was saying, it could do some good to have an influx of users working in a similar manner as users here in order to further the knowledge and understanding of GB hacking. But that's just an opinion.

If you're tired of playing Pokemon you may want to try out Robopon ;)
In all seriousness:
-Shantae is a gorgeous, charming platformer
-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a surprisingly awesome RPG, recommended if you're a fan of the series
-Metal Walker is a really unique RPG, look into it. The combat system is cool, as is the world.
-Motocross Maniacs 2 (the first one is fun, but a bit shallow) is a really fun, unique motorbike game. You race through really elaborate courses. I'm usually not a fan of these kinds of games, but the controls are so good, and the courses are amazing.
-Metal Gear Solid. Its Metal Gear Solid, on your Gameboy Color. It is awesome and I think it holds up really well today.
The Pokemon Trading Card game rocks way more than you would expect as well, fun and addicting, even if you don't play the card game.
