Crystal Hacking Noob

Hi, new here. I've been playing rom hacks and mods for a while and finally decided I wanted to make my own using Crystal for the base (I know it would be easier to use Gold but I like the graphical changes in Crystal). My list of changes in the first run through are pretty simple, from what I can understand. I just need help in understanding the Hex to know what I'm looking for when I change things.

Plans:
Trainer/Gym Levels/Pokemon-I want to make the game a bit harder ;)
Pokemon Locations/Lvls - I'd like to get all 251 in there, but know the flags for events like GS ball can be tricky
Evolution types - Changing the trade evolutions to levels instead
Items in stores - Gonna need some extra moonstones haha

If there is a table file floating around out there thats correct or if anyone can verify the correctness of Giegue's Master Guide table file that would help. as I said before I need help understanding the hex for things like trainers/leaders/pokemon encounters/evolutions and where to start looking. thanks!

Yes, all of these are fairly simple.

Explained adequately in Giegue’s guide.

Adequately explained in Giegue’s guide.

Just use the one he lists for RBY; the text format did not change between games.

Where? I've been looking and looking with nothing coming up for a trainer editor for crystal. Link?

And thanks for the other help. Like I said, hacking noob. :/

Re: Crystal Hacking Noob

Search Trnpokemon or Trnpkmn. But i reccommend learning how to do it in hex first.

I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones.
