Re: Pokémon Azure

Sounds good mate! About to give it a run through.

Edit: Dude, did you mean to make the sidewalks out of Nazi swastikas?

The swastika is actually a symbol of peace in most countries. It is used in religions like Hinduism and Buddhism. Though because of the Nazis it has become taboo in most of the western world and Europe.

Isn't the Indian style slightly different to the Nazi version we know?

Redux is 'on hold'. I have however found the files, but it's still (pretty much) dead at the moment.
I wonder if that's actually a good thing...

Haha. I didn't figure it was meant to be offensive. Just thought I would point it out so you could change it if you wanted to so no one would be offended.

I didn't notice it until Mateo pointed it out. I bet nobody would've noticed if Mateo didn't point it out.

(I'm not try to be offensive Mateo. I'm just saying you have a good eye.)

Re: Pokémon Azure

haha lol no offense taken.

Also, on a more hack related note: It looked good, I played what you have done. I did notice there were no wild pokemon battles on route 29, but this is basically just an oversight that goldmap does sometimes and sets the encounter rate to 0 if you aren't careful. Usually happens when you edit a route or other map with wild pokemon and don't set them back right the first time (its annoying for sure). But other than that, sounds good. I like the new blocks you've been using to give it a more natural, almost advance mapping style feel.

Re: Pokémon Azure

Ok, you can copy the picture of your map directly over. What you do is open the german rom, design it how you want it, then export a map file. Then just open the map file in a hex editor, copy all of it, and paste it over the town map in gold.

You will still have to manually move the locations around in a hex editor (for where it says new bark town is and such) but to make it easier, just drag the cursor to where you want it in karteneditor, it will tell you the X and Y, and you can enter that in the rom at the X and Y for that map. I think I sent you the locations of the things i mentioned, but if I'm mistaken let me know and I'll send them to you.

Also, when I have time, I will write a program to let you edit the X and Y locations of each one of the towns, and change the pointer to its name if you wish. It may or may not support renaming them from within the editor at first.

I haven't tried the game yet and decided to do so now but the link is broken.
You should re-upload it if you're not going to give another release  ;)

The download link is broken, it said that it could only be downloaded 10 times and that limit has been reached, I never even downloaded the hack even once, can you re-upload it?
