Help with compiling pokemon wood

Ok so I am using currently windows 7

I am trying to compile pokemon wood.  I have a blue rom and I have put it in the folder with the make file.
Unfortunately nothing is happening and the make.bat file does not work.  I have a base blue rom and all of the other files
from rgbds.  I took a screenshot and this is what is happening.

Thanks for the help guys I know I am pretty slow on this type of stuff...

Re: Help with compiling pokemon wood

dunno how the makefile got renamed to makefile.bat, but it's not a batch script. makefiles are their own thing. you should change its name back to just makefile (no extension)

the commands in the makefile won't work in the windows shell (cmd.exe). you should grab cygwin which acts like a linux shell in windows

to run the makefile, go to the pokewood directory and type make clean && make in the cygwin shell

for any errors that come up saying some command is unknown, just run the cygwin installer again and select the package

Re: Help with compiling pokemon wood

I havent tried it yet because I am still downloading cygwin, but what is strange is when you are making a game from scratch they want you to name it that.  Make.bat     It actually did create a broken rom though (which I thought was kind of interesting)
