Thank you for great idea - Side Scroling Areas...

I think about your hacks ideas with Side Scrolling paths where you going like in most NES games... It is nice... And I think about port it to my GBA works. I take some Tilesets from that game which you use tiles in hacks <Especialy in Pokemon Prism> And some Lode Runner and Super Mario Bros.1 blocks. Effect is intresting. I make SideScroling pathway from South Isle <Presented by Mateo and have apperance in Pokemon Ruby Renev> To Island where Rejishan waiting for you. If you want I can share here Gameplay from GEN 3 Sidescroll place. I made it in two lvl's... First level made from Rock. But going under ledges you reach Crystal side of new cavern.

It is a great idea, indeed, and it must be even possible to create a sidescrolling illusion in Gen 4/5.

It is able to do... But more possible in Pokemon DPPT. Becouse their interiors is not in perspective. And changing indor tileset is possible to make sidecroll effect. If you want i can show here gameplay from Sidescroll place.

The interiors are certainly 3D models, but the camera angles are set so that it looks like 2D. I thought about making a sidescroll map in 3D, by flip the 3D model 12,5% to the 3D camera position.

It can work... But Sidescroll in NDS games would look weird... In GBA is not look so special.

Welll.... Not exacly... NSMB have another graphic sources... You want seen in my RUBY HACK how work Side Scrolling Area? I think is look nice. But not exacly I want that.
