Uber's introduction!

Hello everyone, I am UberMedic7 probably the newest member here, i decided to join because i myself am a big fan of 1st and 2nd gen of pokemon games and im glad that i found an active community based on them now a bit more info about me. Im 18 years old, im from Greece, my favorite pokemon game is Pokemon Silver and i prefer brunnets over blondes :P but i guess one of the main reasons of my arrival here is that i always try to make my own pokemon game (rom hack) but i always face dead ends and i noticed that some quite experienced people are around here and i really wish i could learn a thing or two from them or the community itself. I wish my stay here will be pleasant one for me and of course everyone, so go ahead reply here or ask me any questions you have about me i cant wait to meet you all :D

Re: Uber's introduction!

Hi there,
You sound like a nice guy, so sure, I'll reply.

Yeah, there are some "experienced" people around (not that I could call myself one either) who should be able to help you with most problems you may run into. For starting out though, you should take a look at Global FAQ and Resource thread in "Gameboy / Cross gen" section.
Most, if not all, necessary information is covered in there about rom hacking and things associated with Gen I & II pokemon hacking.

Re: Uber's introduction!

Thanks, to be honest i always wanted to create something of my own in many games and i wanted to do this with pokemon games since years ago
what i have in mind so far is to make a rom hack that its a bit more challenging than the original games and with the ability to complete the pokedex without trading which is not easy while playing on an emulator ( somewhat like the "Pokemon Crystal Expert version" i ran into here :P ) i also have random ideas poping from my head every now and then hehe

Cool thanks :D although i have to be honest, after a very quick look on the FAQ you have here ive noticed that im a big time noob since i dont have any knowledge in GBC assembly or hex editing, so far ive been using whatever tools i could get my hands on, i just wish i could learn all this somehow :(

Re: Uber's introduction!

Yo, welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay.

You know the glitches that exist in the Pokémon games?
Only the ones named "MISSINGNO." are Missingno.
The others are not. They are their own glitches with their own names.
Sorry, it's a... thing that bugs me a little.
