Everything we knew about the pokeradar was a lie.

http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showth … -PokeRadar
This means:
-No good/Bad formations. The chances are set.
-No pokemon seem to have higher chances to continue your chain
-A 4 away patch will have the same odds of continuing the chain regardless of how many patches activate
-Catch your pokemon for an increased chance (patch 4 will have a 2% chance to break your chain instead of 12%)
-resetting the radar negates the increased chances from catching the previous pokemon.

Following what I found, it can save money, because you don't need to keep resetting the radar as much. People thought you need to reset it to get a safe "formation", but I only reset if the 4th patch has a non grass tile as an adjacent one, or if it's the opposite type of what I started with. In smaller grass areas, it's harder to catch, and get a 4 away patch without resetting the radar.

Re: Everything we knew about the pokeradar was a lie.

After countless tries, I finally got 2 Shiny Porygon from the trophy garden. Since I used a sync modest nature, One was modest, the other was calm (also good). I caught as many as i could to increase the chances, and I used under 100 super repels. Now I have about 32 or so Porygon that are not shiny.

Aha. First, I thought that it was a program tool.

Understandable. I'm only really familiar with the version implemented in the PokéWalker because I never really played D/P/Pt that much. I got... maybe a gym or two into it and started playing something else. Not sure if I even made Dawn evolve her Piplup yet lol.
