About the last weeks

Okay, so I thought it would be better to adress this issue in a seperate thread than to going offtopic in the threads of some hacks. It seems like someone can't handle criticism properly. Oh hi there 80C, yes I mean you.

I don't know what got into you to overreact about some unclear criticism of mine. As I told you and your little friends, I've been following the board through reading all missed posts at once (thanks to 'Show new post since last visit'). That means I've read all the crap that was written in the last weeks in a few minutes seeing the extent of the low quality posts significantly better than someone reading it over the course of daily visits. Recently the board has gotten worse in terms of content (actually over the last year, nvm). You are not the only one of what I consider the spammers and you are also not the sole cause of this. But your reaction didn't prove me wrong.

Real hacking.
No bullshit.
100% hex editor, 0% envy...
the worst bullshit is only do the voyeur and speak badly without doing nothing.

And I won't delete this or any of my post cuz imma member now.
I leave the rest of the bullshits for those who deserve them.

I never doubted your hacking skill. Read what I wrote. I never told that all of your posts are rubbish. I like that you're making a hack of Red. I think hacking RBY is a great thing.

But seriously, you made my day. I would never come up with "forbidding" me access to your tutorials (as if I would need your godlike resources). It's not that I am lurking here since years or know one or two things about rom hacking.
Maybe you should accept being wrong.
Maybe you should get your priorities right; read and inform yourself about certain topics instead of writing made-up tales and digging up older topics. Example posts: 1, 2 and 3. Don't be so gullible and believe everything you read on the internet. It isn't the first post your telling unconfirmed bullshit. (hehe)

I hope you understand now my reasons to write something like that. I don't want to shut you up but to rethink your posting behaviour and quality. (this also applies to 90% of the users which have registered in the last months) I mean, what's up with this thread? I could post "Yes!" and leave. Post at least some links to it, introduce it to newer users or something. Otherwise it lacks substance.

Anyway, remember that I said you're not the only scapegoat? Great. There are another users and other things I could blame for my conclusion reminding the low quality here , e.g. poor hack presentations without a screenshot or anything. This seems to be a common matter. Just to name something other beside bashing you. I don't know how to deal with those problems beside a stricter enforcement of the rules. Maybe some other members care to discuss.

Btw, thanks to Munchulax and Miksy who understood what I was indicating.

Look at how many things 80C has posted on. You don't need to do that.
It seems to me like you just want a high post count.

Re: About the last weeks

& ok most ov the things you said may be true but:

First off, if you retain I post too much then ok, I'll stop post everywhere exept in help\questions & in my hack thread, I don't have friends here as in the rest of the web & I don't give a matter about, they're outside.

Second, I don't give poor hack presentations, but the contrary, they're detailed.

Third, I don't wanna talk to you anymore about this and about nothing else and you won't ever have a single byte of my hack and leave your friends out of things that doesn't regard them, because I haven't called mine (fortunately) and seriously I don't give a nothing about them, your friends didn't insulted me so why should I?

And fourth, I think you're the one that got mostly hurt between us, it doesn't seem so but is it, so sorry 4 that lousy feud I don't want, farewell, shut up  & stay away from me.

Munchulax & Miksy are not regarded in this question so I may suggest they hasn't absolutely no affairs about this, I don't hate them and I don't love them, so if they would stay alone from me or talk sometimes I won't care, they're feel free to decide to ignore me or sometimes talk.

I think right now to have been enough gentle, another one wouldn't have been so comprehensive in your regards.

Now close that mess.

Re: About the last weeks

80C -

Nobody told you to stop posting. Nobody told you you aren't wanted. What he asked is that you think about your posts before making them (especially since you cannot edit or delete them), to stop overreacting (like you are doing now, by assuming everyone is annoyed with your existence here, which they aren't), and to post things that are relevant instead of posting things that don't do anything.

For example, I not only WASN'T annoyed by you discussing Secrets and Rumours and the Johto Legacy in that thread, I enjoyed it and liked that there was interest in my hacks and their continuity. I am a little confused by some of your other threads and things though. Please don't just overreact and say you are going to stop posting everywhere. Instead, try making sure you say what you want to say in fewer posts, instead of making 3 replies one after the other because you can't edit them. That would be a good start. Beyond that, you do need to work on taking criticism. Everyone gets criticism, especially on the internet. And I know that I can have trouble dealing with it too sometimes depending on how it is presented, but you need to relax more and try not to take things so personally and blow them out of proportion. If Tekor raises valid points, that doesn't mean you should assume he is saying "Get lost kid! You have no business here!" like a Team Rocket Grunt or something. But instead of starting an argument, just think about what was said objectively and see if any of it checks out.

It is also very true that the over-all quality of the posts seems to have degraded greatly here recently (from a number of users, although I believe that 90% of them are not native speakers, although that doesn't excuse them from posting things that lack substance or don't follow thread guidelines). It was already that way before I stepped down as Admin, so its been building for a while now.

And this is the only wise and real thing I've read here.
Anyway I'll post only on my hack thread and in Help\question.
I won't post in the other forums.

Nah, you're missing the point. You can post as much as you want as long as it contributes something useful to a discussion. I remember times when the old Skeetendo board got +1 post in a whole day, so it's great to have a lot more attention for Gen I/II hacking.

@80C: *sigh*
It wouldn't be useless if you reply. What really makes it useless is the fact that you seal yourself off from any negative feedback. And you got a talent for misinterpreting things. Huh? What friends of mine? Are you skimming my texts? I even differentiate you from poor hacks presentations. Although you told multiple times you won't answer anymore, I suggest you to take your time and read what I posted again. Carefully. English isn't your native language, things can come across very different. You may realise something similar to what Mateo said (who got it to the point).

Re: About the last weeks

Yeah. teckoR and Mateo have raised valid, and good, points here.
And apart from those, I'd like to say that don't revive threads that haven't been posted in a long time, just as ~Red's Wisteria there. It's unlikely the hack has been continued in a long time so why write suggestions about what to do about it, what do you personally feel about the hack or such?

If Red is to revive the thread by his own actions, it's of course more than okay to post constructive criticism and things you'd like to see being improved about it.

But to keep things simple;
1. Posts in threads made by an author who has been online within last days, or weeks.
2. Think about, "Is this post relevant to the thread?", before posting the reply.
3. Reply whatever you've to say about the hack/idea/question or whatever the thread is about.

And that's all there is to it.

And more stuff coming up...

This is true too, we used only a couple of posts each day. It's good to see more people show up, but at the same time, some of them (not talking about you here) are kids who only come here to discuss about what their favorite pokemon are or such, which really doesn't have anything to do with the general idea behind the forum.

At times, we were thinking of possibly closing "General discussion" forum but it has turned out a good place for talking about non-hacking related things with other people around and that way, get to meet each other, so it's there.

But this post really got totally off-topic here. But I do hope you see what I was trying to say here;
We don't want unnecessary posts flooding all over the place. That will only make not-so-active users think there is worthy content being posted while there is not, and of course, also expand the content to be searched from when trying to look for some specific information.

@80c miksy,tecko r are right in some cases you are posting unneccessary posts Which we cant ignore but many of your posts are good to see. your thread pokemon grape got 9 pages in just 15 days and out of 9 pages most of  comments are of yours.other users comment more than the author but you are just over reacting.sorry friend if i sound rude. I will always got happy if you post usal and intresting topics.

Almost everyday when I get to school around 7:00 AM, I'll check Skeetendo to see if anything was posted overnight (and recently there are always new posts). Recently, the kinds of posts I see are the usual "any updates?" or "pls upload in .jar" posts (they're not all like that but a lot of them are).  So, today I decided not to check Skeetendo when I got to school.  I just thought "Usually nothing important gets posted overnight, I'll check later instead."  I actually haven't checked Skeetendo until just now, which is why my post is sort of late.  I honestly feel that a lot of these "spam posts" exist only because the poster spontaneously comes up with them, and that's why the quality of the posts on Skeetendo has gone down.

I actually have more things I could say, but it's already 1:38 in the morning over here and I've got to go to bed.  I might post more tomorrow if this discussion goes further.
