That's what I meant. By 'funky' I didn't mean bizzare, random colours from nowhere. Of course the colours are determined from the palette, so the colours are the same. I just meant the image would look funky because all the colours are mixed around.

I found the source of my problem: I imported .png files with TileM, and 4 sum obscure reasons it switches black & color2.
Also, I think the hex editor (I picked after the time trial of my old hex workshop) wasn't so good for that work (ehrm - translhextion, because it couldn't open more than 1 file simoultanesly - bad grammar I know), fortunately one of my friends gave me an unlimited version of one of my favourite HexEdts.
So I've learn't 2 things about:
1)Use always a 24bit .bmp!
2)Choose wisely your hex editor
