So I'm here to do that.
I think we need higher quality control on thread titles. "How to do it?", "Some questions.", "Please remember me!", "One question!", "quistion", etc. are not very descriptive titles, and... something should be done about that.
Edit: if you'd like any more examples, I'd be happy to supply them. They are not low in stock.
Also help threads where the generation of the game is not obvious, nor specified. I can't think of any recent examples of this, but it's happened and should be looked down upon and made corrected.
And stuff.

Well, it's not like anyone couldn't figure out a descriptive title for a thread they create but I believe the issue is about thinking of that thread being unimportant. If you create a new thread with the feeling; "yeah, no one's going to need to see this, I'll just ask for help on a couple of things and that's it.", it's "easy" to keep it simple and not put any imagination into the thread title at all.
Most people just are lazy, it's not like it could be changed. Of course we can advise beginners to go "here" to read some global rules thread explaining things like this but even so, only 10% would read it and of them, not even a half would remember the advice given there.

That's not an excuse.

I was simply pointing the obvious.
That's no excuse but a fact, most people are lazy.
The issue is not about making people be more descriptive, it's more about what to do with the laziness.

Take the Global FAQ. Link it on the frontpage. Capslock, Bold and size 32. Although, I'm not entirely sure if this will prevent repetitive help requests with always the same questions.

iimarckus would never be down with that.

Maybe someone can filter the new threads being made and impend it until further approval? Or not?
Hell no. That leaves too much waiting time for questions to be answered.

That is not what he means, at all. Just be specific. And do research prior to making a new thread. There are lots of threads answering the same questions over and over, and chances are if you are new at hacking, your question has already been answered.

We need a F.A.Q

I sure wouldn't want my efforts to be unsatisfactory to the users.
That thread is a great thread. I’m glad it’s around.
I don’t think its purpose is the same purpose that tysonrss pointed out, which I interpreted as a more “meta” type of FAQ (i.e., not for hacking questions, but for how to ask hacking questions, and other “rules”). It is more related to this thread.
Yeah the type of F.A.Q I was referring to would be one where people ask how to script certain things like people talking, giving pokemon, etc things like that. Those are the most asked questions I think. Many questions refer to grahpicical things as well.
I was thinking of doing a faq earlier but I'm too lazy and taking a break from this shit for awhile.

Wait. What's wrong with jirchspachi's again? Other than no one really using it.

I'm hoping that the label won't stick.
What's wrong with that nickname? Also I've been calling you that since before you came to the irc... probably like a week ago or so...

If you slur it enough, it can sound like Chewbacca too.
[01:18:06] <jwibagi> thank you both. by the way was jirchspachi a reference to my name
[01:18:57] <stag019> yes
[01:19:17] <stag019> mr unintelligible combination of letters named guy
[01:19:42] <NovaSquirrel> <lolilover> when I first saw the player's name, I assumed that if you didn't pick a player name it was randomly generated by picking letters
[01:19:42] <NovaSquirrel> <lolilover> but no, it really is 'Kvacz'
[01:19:42] <NovaSquirrel> <lolilover> maybe in this dystopian future you have to buy vowels like on wheel of fortune

In addition to a FAQ we need a page that appears when a new user signs up so they can be taken to a thread with such faqs and whatnot. This could prevent a lot of redundant threads as well.

I go with "jwih-bah-gee". Does the name have any meaning? Did kkj1116 have any meaning?
Also, needless to say, I vote for tough rule enforcement yada yada, everyone gets it.
