Hackers, why dont you create a hack which is compatible in meboy? You know many of us here are using their cell phones just to play your hack..I think you guys dismay them,,,just like my classmate...soorry for the words.... ; ]]

1) I personally haven't bothered to check how to form a meboy compatible .jar file using the actual rom file.
2) It's "more legal" to just upload ips files than rom files as their own.
I know a guy who was making an excellent Chrono Trigger rom hack in the past. The hack even got completed but never released. Why?
Because Square Enix sent the hack maker a warning about releasing a game using coding copyrighted by them. If this guy released the hack anyhow, nothing would have prevented Square to sue that guy for doing that. They wouldn't really care about someone sharing a hack of a game they made, but they would definitely make easy money out of it. I may be incorrect here but I think this guy was asked to pay a couple of thousand of dollars to Square if he wanted to release the hack in public.
It's always possible that Gamefreak could contact one of us having the exact same reason behind it. And at least by just sharing ips files instead of actual rom files, you haven't done anything "bad" that would give them the opportunity to "strike" without a warning.

Why don't you find a computer and do it yourself?

miksy is right but if you really want to have a working meboy version, you can download your own meboy builder on arktos.se,its where meboy originated,i do believe you have a pc so you do it by yourself,or you do it on inet cafe near you,if you have any problem regarding that dont hesitate to ask me some question,

Also, a lot of us that make the hacks can't really test them on meboy because that isn't the type of phone we have. I have an Android phone, and so my emulators just load a normal .gbc file the same as a PC emulator would. I try to release .jar format as well, but I have no good way to test it so its hard for me to give support for a version I can't test, you know?
Also, from the posts that tend to show up, MeBoy seems to be a rather inaccurate emulator and often has crashes and bugs that normal emulators (and even flashcarts) don't seem to have. I'm sorry if we release hacks in a way that some users cannot play them, but it is NOT us intentionally singling out users and saying we don't care about them. We try (or at least I do, I can't speak for everyone because I am not them) to release in as many formats as we can to make the games accessible to as many people as possible.

The hacks don't work on meboy because the authors didn't bother to fix the checksums.
rgbfix should be able to fix the checksums: with this version, “rgbfix -v foo.gbc”.

This is often the case, yeah. Apparently the Tileset Extension patch causes errors in MeBoy even if the checksum is fixed though if I remember.

I wonder if this forum is being watched by gamefreak officials... Shops selling R4 carts were being sued constantly, I never was able to get a GBA flash cart back in the days when I was desperately looking for one. Some months ago I bought flash carts for both, the original GB and the GBA. It seems to me that Nintendo or whoever doesn't care anymore about platforms that old (even though there is the Virtual Console platform). I imagine what it would feel like to see, what this community does, as a (former) employee of Gamefreak. I personally would love to see how this games influenced the childhood of so many, that they still contribute so much of their time to their projects.

I'm uploading all games in jar here so hackers don't bother jarring:) http://peperonity.com/go/sites/mview/ra … s/38074216

The attitude that we owe it to others to make our hack in a format that likely we don't have a way of testing, that we'll never use ourselves, and that if someone else wanted to could easily do themselves, is such an elitist attitude that makes me want to vomit. It also infuriates me when I view the message board to see 6 new posts, all of them "when you release this in jar because i need a jar and cant do nothin without a jar". Because of this, if I ever make a hack, I will definitely not be releasing a jar.
That being said, it's (probably) rather simple to make a script that'll jar a file for you. My question is, when someone is on a phone, can they download and save an ips file? Because if they can do that, I could probably write a script that takes an input ips file, and the version of Pokemon to patch it to, and make a script that automatically allows you to download a jar from that. That would be much simpler than trying to keep a separate database of "hacks released in cookie jars".
You can try to hide yourself in this world of pretend; when the paper's crumpled up, it can't be perfect again.

Does it have an IPS patcher? If you've never found one, are you able to use this? http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/752/
Edit: Here is another one that isn't a command line only; dunno if that helps or not.
