pokemon b/w demake on g/s map connection help

hey, I've been making a rom hack on g/s to make a pokemon black and white demake. the hack is mockup to look like pokemon yellow however.

now, what the real problem is, although I am capable of making actual maps, sprites and all that. I don't know anything to do with hex editing. I've been trying to figure out how to connect maps, and after looking at a tutorial on this site, I came to the realization that I am never ever going to be able to do so.

so, I beg to ask if there is anyone here who would be up to the task when the time comes?

Ill be the one to hack/EDIT pokemon's data like movesets, pokedex entry or somewhat...
Or maybe the scripting also if you would like.

that's great. But the MOST important thing is getting these maps to link.
also, this isn't yellow, it's silver (this is a yellow mockup due to the lack of dark and steel types)

give yourself an Id so I can tell you apart from the anons. on this thread I have posted a link to a incompleted rom download, with only nuvema town and route 1 done (newbark and route 31.)

it would help if you could connect those maps, because I need route 1 to test out some sprites :3

hopefully this hack will have quite a bit of potential. I'm surprised no one has done it yet, especially with that aprill fools trailer.

yeh, I changed one of the door warps to route 1, so at least now I can test sprites.

I think maps should be a priority however. that way we can get the connecting out the way.
also we need some collision data changed, since I changed the normal johto tileset to kanto.
I think we will also need to edit the collision data to certain block, so that way we can have wild pokemon in the sand on route 4.

I can Help you but not the way that I will make the map connection for you.(Even though I know how.)but I can give a tips to make the map connection editing easy. By making both map same H and W. and try to figure it by learning by yourself.Try to look at Misky91 tut's. I know it's hard in the beginning. but try very best to do it. :)

At the moment I'm inserting sprites and stuff as this is phase 2 of the hack. the next phase is map making, so I will alert you guys when I need you to do more connecting :3

Also. I need someone to do the following (not on the rom I provided above, that has since been outdated)

1: edit collision values on the routes.
2: change the actual johto tileset to the kanto (that way we can have 2 route pallets, one we need for route 4 to be orange)
3: remove the walking in grass animation.

If any of you can do this, say so and I will provide an updated rom link

It wouldn't be that hard for you to just do this yourself either.  All the info needed to do what you want is very easily accessible on this site.

You could use Melash's Tileset Editor to change collision data and edit the 2nd Kanto tileset.
You could use AGIXP to extract Kanto's tileset and insert it in Johto's spot (re-pointing obviously)
And you could refer to this post for erasing the grass animation: http://hax.iimarck.us/post/10219/#p10219
