Re: Pokemon Bronze

Man, I honestly love this hack. It's so much like a real Pokemon game that it's more like a real Pokemon game than a real Pokemon game.

And even when it's not, I still really love it, so good job, and thank you!

Re: Pokemon Bronze

I have released another update. v1.13

http://pokemonbronze.net/downloads

It fixes some major bugs, so if you haven't finished the game yet or haven't played it. This is the version to get.

-Fixed some more spelling and grammar issues.
-Fixed bug which allowed you to fight FLYNN multiple times.
-Fixed a bug which made a crucial item ball unobtainable for some people.
-Fixed being able to view town map on house walls where there was no map.

Re: Pokemon Bronze

It's an item that progresses the story once you collect it.

Re: Pokemon Bronze

Sadly I cannot continue playing the game from this point on (savegame) due to a bug, that lets the game crash everytime I move a few steps or use dig, to get out of the forest I am currently in. Tested with flash cart (GB classic and GB Advance), VBA and BGB.

This is how you fix it:

1. Rename your save and load it in Pokemon Gold
2. use DIG or an ESCAPE ROPE to exit the current area
3. Save inside the nearest Pokemon Center
4. Rename and load your save back into Pokemon Bronze

Re: Pokemon Bronze

I have to report some bugs I encountered in my first play which was based on the first version
(probabilly mine was the first run ever completed and commented LOL - the next day of the date of release I finished it)
By the way, some bugs were even illustrated by screenshots:

1) THE INFAMOUS CINNABAR SURFING GLITCH:

0ef0.png q05e.png

I don't remember exactly how it happened, I remember only that (at normal speed) on VBA I just landed on the third tile from the furthest rock in the right-bottom-corner of the Island and I was still surfing until I touched again water and landed again.
I reported this the first day I played Bronze (see my older posts for further info), I posted the screenshot only now 'cause I was pretty busy (and I'm busy even now - that's why I post at late night).

2) WHOOPS, CONNECTION!

mavq.png

The higher coast is missing, this is a minor error.

3) LEAGUE RIVAL EARLY FIGHT

Before you face the League you'll have to face your Rival, but actually the Event occours only in a single "tile" lefting, infact, the possibility of skip that encounter, creating also a sort of "lack" in the story.

AFAIK that happened in the first Final Version, I'm not sure if this happens also in the latest one (the Second Final Version).

Re: Pokemon Bronze

There is no rival fight before the league. Can you explain what you're talking about better?

I can't exit the city because "troublemakers are hiding in the city"; however, I've defeated them in the garage thingy and the road is still blocked.

Did you talk to the final racket member in the garage?
He tells you: "Stay away from the DEPT.STORE". Perhaps this is a hint as to where to go next!

Re: Pokemon Bronze

uh, I would like to ask some questions, is it possible to evolve pokemon w/o trading in this hack? Because I'm just playing it using a meboy-f emulator.
And are there any pokemons from other generations here?

By the way, nice hack!
I used the girl patch and it is awesome! Hahaha.
Kinda remembered pokemon wisteria on that one. XD

I did, but I had taken a break from playing right after that.
And once you leave the garage after that point, they're gone and there's no hint as to where to go anymore if you forgot.

Well that's kinda your fault and not a problem with the game. :I

Re: Pokemon Bronze

What do you mean? I'm just simply saying it is no way a problem with the game itself.

Re: Pokemon Bronze

First of all, that is bad game design.
Second problem we're having here is about common sense. Pingouin didn't do anything wrong so why insult him "Well that's kinda your fault..." ? Being nicer to others often pays off in life in general.
