New Gold Pokemarts from scratch

I wanted to add a new Pokemart person in my Master's Lounge. Is it doable? And is there a cap on how many items a Pokemart can sell? Can it be increased?

Even if there’s no hardcoded limit (and there might be a hardcoded limit), there will be a practical limit—if you have too many items, the item list will overwrite other data in memory. But this probably won’t happen to you, because the largest mart used in‐game has 17 items in it, and you probably won’t be using that many.

Actually, quite likely I will, but as long as there's not hardcoded limit we're good. If there is, I'm guessing it's 20.

How possible is it to make a new map? I want to make a Pokemart room in my Master's Lounge if possible instead of just making a mart guy stand there, but whatever.

To make a new map you would have to repoint some things to give you enough room to add a new primary map header to the table, then make its secondary header and all the other stuff as well. It's doable, but could be a bit complicated. I'll dig up where the offsets for these things are.

There doesn't need to be any guessing here. Guessing is rarely good. Go find the shop data, set a breakpoint to it and debug from there and see if either there is a hardcoded limit of items per shop or if there is a ram conflict, as in an item list with more than 20 items will overwrite some other vital part of ram. Only then you can be sure!

It is very possible to create a new map. You will have to make sure you create it in the correct map bank if it's an exterior map, so you'll get the right roof colors and roof tiles. Other than that, nothing is really in your way creating one. You will have to create a new mapheader for it and then point to is via a new map property entry. For this, you will have to repoint a lot.

Sorry if I seem to be asking a lot of questions here, I know I am. It's just the only way I learn is through step-by-step instruction, and once I learn I can do stuff myself, but until then I'm fairly hopeless :)
