<<<Editing Savestate File>>>

<<<Hacking your Save state file>>>

(Credits for the original discoverer,he is not a member here I think)

*Make your Pokemon learn any move:

Okay lets start, first, you have to list down your Pokemon's Hex #, held item, exact order of its moves, and lastly its level. You might need a movelist and itemlist, both having their corresponding hex values.

The format is like this:

xx yy zz zz zz zz (without the spaces)

xx- Pokemon's Hex #
yy- Pokemon's Held Item in hex(put 00 if it holds nothing)
zz's- Pokemon's Moves in hex(put 00 for unused slots,meaning,if a Pokemon learns only 2 moves,put 00 00 after the 2 moves' hex code)

After searching,go to the 2nd result, there are only 2 results, and there, you can change the Pokemon's held item and moveset.

*Put a Pokerus Status into your Pokemon:

After making the first tutorial, just scroll down until you find the Pokemon's Level, and then, edit the four bytes before the Pokemon level's byte and put this code:

00 e8 9f 29 xx

xx- Pokemon's level

Enjoy the Pokerus :D

*Turn your Pokemon into Shiny Pokemon:

Okay, count four bytes before the Pokerus code, and then edit the two bytes before that four byte, put this code. It should be like this:

ea aa zz zz zz zz 00 e8 9f 29 xx

ea aa- the code for Shiny Pokemon
00 e8 9f 29- code for Pokerus
xx- Pokemon's level
just ignore the four bytes (zz zz zz zz)

That's all for now, enjoy your Shiny Pokemon. I'll just update soon.

Just repeat the three Tutorials for your other Pokemon :D

Re: <<<Editing Savestate File>>>

I didn't feel like saying this earlier because I don't like putting down all the hard work others have done but here goes:

There is a lot less-complicated way of accomplishing to do all the changes you've described above. See here:
http://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/ … 1_Settings

This is how the data of the pokemon in your first party slot is stored in ram. So instead of having to use a hex editor to change the values of the save file, you can simply use VBA's Memory Viewer or bgb's debugging functions to achieve the wanted results. After you've done whatever you wish to do (like changing Pokerus status, level or stats etc.), just use another save state or save the game regularly and those changes will be saved into the created save file.

hmmm, ive been doing this sir,i think it was 1st posted on symbianize(or pd),and i remember your name as the starter of the thread, isnt it?

@miksy
actually sir,if you have an idea about a nokia or sony ericsson symbian phone, then youre way to go,using a hex editor namely zntxhan or mobihex, you can edit the savestate of vboy emulator for s60v2,s60v3,s60v5 phone, even the items inside your bag can have a value of 255,including your key items!so thats it,we filipinos are fond of playing using our smartphones, hehe,so thats our way of cheating instead of using gamesharks or so,i myself was using my phone to hex hack pokemon game,or should i say modifying the rom instead...
