BTW I just used GIMP for some easy Gen I backpic shenanigans, though it did take some relearning of skills I'd forgotten. Basically, all you gotta do is set a four-color palette map consisting of the four Game Boy colors recognised by Cygwin in raw pictures. Then, you shrink and crop as necessary. Make sure the pic you're trying to convert is at 32x32 resolution at this point. Afterwards, activate the palette map. If the results look weird, tweak as necessary. For example, in the examples I'm going to show you, the colors were inverted, so I had to re-invert the colors in order to return them to their proper coloring. If the colors are otherwise screwed up for some reason, e.g. out of order, things will get a bit more complicated. It might have something to do with how the colors are ordered, though; I have mine going from white to black, for example.

Anyway, here are the pictures, which I finally managed to completely devamp from the existing Gen II-style Brendan/May backsprites earlier made upon my request:

I'd like to add the pattern variants from Magikarp Jump, and Silver's sprite would make them more visible. Especially if the fin switches away to reveal more of the body.

One more sprite request: Victor, the anime character with a Surfing Pikachu.

I started this with Marlon's sprite, but if I do the shading and fixing-up it'll be slow and not as good as more experienced artists.

I'll be able to post a lot of my old GSC devamps/revamps/recolors soon, as I've been mostly working on some for my new hack. I'm waiting til I get a good number of them done before posting, then go from there.

Quick question for anyone who uses their devamped sprites in game!
I guess it only applies to crystal hacks, but how do you go about creating the other animation sprites for pokemon who don't already have them?

I've always wanted to change out some pokemon, but the lack of animated sprites (while others have them) has always been a deterrent. It'd bother me for just one pokemon not to animate before battle.

Also, could someone possibly repost the Rotom front/back sprites? Maybe it's just me, but they aren't displaying in the thread anymore. Most of the older images aren't. Thanks!

@rbroarb - if you want to compare your Spiritomb sprite with mine, then do so. I still need a back sprite for mine though, which I'll do soon.

@Anyone - Anybody want to attempt a back sprite for Darkrai? I've tried myself, but the 48x48 limit is very excruxiating. T_T

I'll post my trainers in a bit, which btw, I also need to ask if someone would do the HG/SS Lass? (Probably my favorite Lass out of all the games)

These are my trainers so far, some were HG/SS Sprites, others, like Lance (gave some dithering), are recolors.
The girl on the 4th row is my heroine for my upcoming hack, I just haven't done my hero yet, but let me know how the heroine looks, she's free to use
There's one empty spot for the hero, and a empty spot for the Yellow girl character or someone else as a replacement Gym Leader for Janine.

I have a Pryce & Koga, but they may be treated as "dead" in my hack". Bruno is older as well, and I may remove Blaine, I'm not sure yet cuz Idk a good Fire user that came from Kanto.

Btw, I'm aware of Falkner and his leg dimension problem, I just had no idea on how to go about his leg, so I just treated it like a standing foot instead. If anyone else wants to try to help there, be my guest.

Also, here's some randoms I'll add to my Sprite sheet later on.
