A baby dragon things. Always love the old styles.

Could work as baby dragonite which would evolve into dragonite at lv30 or something :D

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

Some of them I have, but the majority of them I do not. I'll make up a list at some point with the ones I have and the ones I need and let people volunteer sprites for them

Well, wasn't dimonix supposed to evolve from Onix?

Yes, it was a Secret or Rumor, if you will (coolface)

I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones.

I give it Onix's stone helmet. What do you think? Also, snake is boring.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

It kinda looks really flat in all honesty. It needs like some shading and such, like the official sprites have, you know. I'm not even going to jump into the Digimon argument, since that's pretty much what all the new pokemon look like anyway.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

Yeah, I know. If you see my previous sprite, i always done the concept first, then draw the outline, choose the base color then the final step is shading. That's the way to build the sprite from a blank white page, to a really good sprites. As Ken sugimori always done the concept first, I follow his way and done the concept first as well.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

Yeah, no problem. You can imagine it would be hard to shade it first, then add say a helmet, wing and such things that have a very detail part. That will just scramble the sprites. I think i should share my experience and write a tutorial for it. A critize often have a golden advice within it. Thank you very much for the comment.

Here my promise. It is hard to get to the computer lately. By the way, what do you think about the sprites? The diamond things, i can't make it to the final. Sorry...

You're allowed to change it the way you like, maybe the colors.
Also, sorry for the delays.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

By the way, here is a link to a little database type thing I have going of decompressed GBC tiles. You have decompressed versions of some of the tilesets from Pokemon Gold, devamped graphics, custom graphics, and some graphics from other games such as Pokemon TCG and Dragon Warrior Monsters. It is a GBC file to make it easier to open in TLP, but you cannot run it as it contains no actual code, just graphics.

Also if you look through it enough, you will probably notice some tilesets I have put together for other hacks that may or may not come together. If you use one of these I ask for credit, but you are welcome to use them.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

Oh well to get the decompressed versions there are two methods I've used.

1 method: use agixp's feature to extract from a specific location instead of a pokemon or trainer to extract the graphics

2 method: use VBA's tileset viewer to dump the decompressed copy, then open it up in paint shop pro, set it to use the first 4 colours in the pallet appropriately, then just crop out the parts that aren't the tileset and save.

Re: Devamp/Custom Graphics Thread

Okay, sure. It's actually really simple.

Open Agixp and load your rom as normal, and hit next.

Then when you get to this screen:
agixp.png

uncheck the box for Pokemon/Trainer pic extracting. Then put the location you want to decompress from in the box, and then put in the X and Y values. You can also leave one or both of these blank and it will fill in the missing one based on how long the data is. The size setting in the screen works well for tilesets.

After that, you click next, then choose "Horizontal" as tilesets are stored Horizontally, hit next again to preview it, then hit next again to choose where to export it to.
