Yellow Sprite Editor Trouble

So I've started working on a hack for Yellow and I've downloaded all the tools for it. I was trying to use the Yellow Sprite Editor, it works but whenever I try to save changes I get the following message:

"Run-time error '75':"
"Path/File access error"

I can't seem to pinpoint the root of the problem. I've tried placing the ROM file into the same folder as the editor but that didn't work. Any ideas as to why this error keeps popping up and any suggestions?

Re: Yellow Sprite Editor Trouble

No idea how to help with this tool but if sprite editor for Pokemon G/S works for you, just use it to make the sprites and then just copy - paste them to your yellow hack.

Re: Yellow Sprite Editor Trouble

So via hex editing? For example I'd make the sprite in the G/S tool then find it within the game via a hex editor. Then copy and paste that into the Yellow's sprite location?

Via Tile Layer Pro, not a hex editor.

Re: Yellow Sprite Editor Trouble

I actually figured out the problem, I forgot to uncheck the read-only box for the ROM. So once I got working on the sprites I came across a small problem. After finishing two sprites and testing them in-game I noticed that there were some small graphical errors with the sprite. It had random white lines on it and some colors were off. I checked other sprites and noticed that they have some odd colors from the palette on them, like Pikachu who had the color of the background on him but shows up normal in-game.

Is there a certain way the sprites function or are colored in that needs to be taken note of when making custom sprites?
