Pokemon Gym Ideas

These ideas and Gym maps are completely free-to-use as long as credit to ElectrikeInc is given in the post with your ROM. You do not need to give credit inside the ROM.
I'll be working on a few Pokemon Gyms, probably one for each type, and I plan on posting them here. I'm going to save them as Map Files, so you can put them into Gold Map. Finally, I am making Gym Leader Data, which you can add to your ROM with the GC Leader Editor, although you can just create your own, since it's just a basic plan for attacks, levels and Pokemon.
Maps:
Ghost Gym Tileset 20, X5Y9 (Default Leader: Morty) - This Gym isn't as maze-like as it is fun. The moment you walk in, you are attacked by four trainers in a row. They walk right through each other to give an extra Ghost-type feel! After these rather frightening battles, between which you cannot rest unless you lose, you can finally press the "A" button to battle Morty, who is standing and watching from the tile right in front of you but cannot be battled because of his trainers. Once you beat him, walk to the back of his Gym and look at the eerie red dots before using the jumps in Bell Tower to return to the front and leave.
Pokemon:
My goal here is to make at least six powerful Pokemon ideas for each type. These will be very balanced attack-wise, and occasionally have moves that their species cannot learn. This will take a long time, but I will try to post at least one type at a time. The blanks are so that you can add a first digit based on the gym number you are at. You can also put a twist and make _9 Pokemon 19 but _3 Pokemon 23 (Just an example). As many Gym Leaders have less than 6 Pokemon (Don't all of them?), please choose your favorites from each type.
Normal - Eevee lv _3 (Scratch, Recover, Growl, Body Slam), Sentret/Furret lv. _9 (Tail Whip, Recover, Scratch, Pound), Porygon/Porygon 2 lv. _5 (Conversion, Conversion 2, Recover, Psychic), Teddiursa/Ursaring lv. _4 (Bite, Dragon Claw, Recover, Growl), Togepi/Togetic lv. _7 (Swift, Sky Attack, Minimize, Recover), Igglybuff/Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff lv. _8 (Recover, Tackle, Fly, Double Team); TM is Recover
Fighting - Mankey/Primape lv _3 (Mega Punch, Cross Chop, Roar, Recover), Machop/Machoke/Machamp lv. _4 (Bullet Punch, Cross Chop, Recover, Growl), Tyrogue/Hitmontop/Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee lv _7 (Cross Chop, Lock-On, Mega Punch, Recover), Poliwag/Poliwhirl/Poliwrath/Politoed lv _5 (Cross Chop/Recover/Hydro Pump/Leer); TM is Cross Chop (There are no more existing Fighting-type Pokemon in Generation 2 - to give a strategy guide for one would be unfair to people like me who don't know how to add/replace them. If you do know how, feel free to use these movesets on any Pokemon you program.)
Fire - Flareon lv _8 (Fire Blast, Recover, Growl, Explosion), Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion lv. _6 (Rockslide, Explosion, Roar, Milk Drink*), Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard lv _5 (Fly or Flamethrower, Explosion, Roost, Roar), Vulpix/Ninetales lv _7 (Recover, Explosion, Curse, Flamethrower), Growlithe/Arcanine lv _3 (Explosion, Recover, Growl, Fire Blast), Houndour/Houndoom lv _4 (Explosion, Milk Drink, Flamethrower, Tail Whip); TM is Explosion
Ghost - Gastly lv _1 (Curse, Recover, Smog, Selfdestruct), Haunter lv _3 (Smog, Explosion, Toxic, Curse), Gengar lv _5 (Hypnosis, Will-o-Wisp, Rest, Curse), Misdreavus lv _7 (Curse, Shadow Ball, Will-o-Wisp, Roost); TM is Curse (There simply aren't enough Ghost-types. I had to split apart the Gastly chain just to get four!)
Electric - Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu lv _4 (Volt Tackle, Surf, Tail Whip, Rest), Mareep/Flaffy/Ampharos lv _5 (Volt Tackle, Zap Cannon, Defense Curl, Recover), Jolteon lv _8 (Volt Tackle, Thunder Wave, Attract, Recover), Elekid/Electabuzz lv _9 (Volt Tackle, Growl, Recover, Thunder), Magnemite/Magneton lv _7 (Bide, Volt Tackle, Screech, Recover), Voltorb/Electrode lv _0 (Volt Tackle, Rollout, Defense Curl, Recover); TM is Volt Tackle
You may notice that each of these Pokemon has a Stat Move, a Recovery Move and an Attacking Move, along with one other. This helps let the game use a good strategy and create a difficult opponent to beat, because, as every trainer has some kind of strategy, these Pokemon can use moves to fit the situation. The move that every Pokemon in the team knows should be the TM move. You can change these in a TM editor, so you can change whatever the Leader gives into the new move. This may require some dialogue editing, however. I have not found a good text editor yet, but I will update this when I do.

I haven't been on this site for a very long time. Sorry about that! >.<
I am probably not going to get very far in the ROM projects that I've started, at least until I get more experience hacking, so I apologize.

Re: Pokemon Gym Ideas

Okay! I uploaded the Ghost-type Gym map and information. I will always add information with a Gym so that nobody downloads it and ends up disappointed when they test it.
Completed...
Pokemon: Normal, Fire, Ghost, Electric
Maps: Ghost
If anyone wants me to, I will post a team plan with up to six of your favorite Pokemon so you can replace a Leader with them. These plans will include movesets that fit the Pokemon well and are balanced like my single-type plans. Just post the Pokemon and I will try to get back to you with the plan.

Re: Pokemon Gym Ideas

What tileset does the Gym map use?

Re: Pokemon Gym Ideas

I added it to the first post. It is Tileset 20, and the dimensions are X5 and Y9.
