Re: Pokemon Wood

Yes, anyone could do that. You should try to do it yourself maybe. It's not hard at all.

How is compiling? It works rather well, depending on your computer. Even on my old Windows XP computer, a 2.4Ghz Celeron with 2GB of really slow RAM, it takes under a minute.

Wow, that's one heckuva rig!

It were kind if somebody compiled it and uploaded either a patch or the complete ROM. I never got gameboy compiler to run on Win 7 64.

Re: Pokemon Wood

I downloaded it but how do I play it?
I have a blue rom so I can add wood to it but this is not an IPS so how do we play it?

I love reading fanfiction though occasionally (once a weak) I play games on visual boy advance.  My favorite games are usually Pokemon  I also love games that are level and skill based.

Re: Pokemon Wood

You need to compile the file into a ROM in order to play it. I never touched something like that before so I wouldn't know what to do XD

It's not the emulator, there are text pointers that are off in the game. I couldn't get to the second town because of it.

Re: Pokemon Wood

That assembly of Wood was never supposed to be a playable release.
So you just got to deal with what you have.

Re: Pokemon Wood

This hack is the coolest hack of Pokémon Red/Blue I have ever seen, but in the second town, it goes wrong. ''error 08'', ''999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999''. It looks very nice, but it's not really playable. I have read comments above, and I see that it's not designed for release.
I will put some Custom Music in it, music that give Japanese feelings, to give the feeling of that region.

Re: Pokemon Wood

I am rewriting the Eterna/Celestic music from Pokémon DPPt in FamiTracker, right now. But I take a break, now. If I have done it, I will assemble it in Pokémon Wood with Sonic65's ''rbyImport''. :)

Re: Pokemon Wood

If I remember right, Sawakita quit Wood a long time ago. Probably simply because of not having motivation to continue this.
Afterwards, there was some discussion on possibly continuing it as a team project which lead nowhere really.

I just don't understand why you'd make music for it, it's not like the hack is going to be finished unless Sawakita surprisingly comes back to it.
But if you really want to go ahead and transfer that track into Wood, you should ask what Sawakita feels about it first.

The full source code of Pokémon Wood? That's nice. But you can't download it, and copying all codes manually would be terrible...

Sure you can. Click “Downloads,” go to the branches tab, and download a zip of the default branch.
