Which one of these laptops would you buy ?
Both of them cost as much, 499 euros.
Acer Aspire 15.6" AS5750
Processor: Intel Core i5
Speed: 2,40 GHz
RAM: 6144 MB
RAM memory speed: 1066 MHz
Capasity: 640 GB
RPM: 5400
Max. resolution: 1366 x 768
OR
Compaq Presario 15.6" CQ57-368SO
Processor: Intel Core i3
Speed: 2,40 GHz
RAM: 4096 MB
RAM memory speed: 1333 MHz
Capasity: 500 GB
RPM: 5400
Max. resolution: 1366 x 768
+: VGA, 1x headphone out/mic in combo
People who have reviewed the laptops, have liked the second one more.
Besides, someone mentioned that the one from Acer has too small arrow buttons but I guess I'll see how it is when I go to check it out.
Anyway, if you had to buy one, which one would it be ?
I think I'm going with the one from Acer but just felt like putting a topic here to see others' opinions on this.

I would buy the Conpaq, Acer's die really fast and usually around the time that the warranty expires.

I chose otherwise anyway :P
*First time on internet with a new, and first own, laptop :D
I asked my big brother what he thought and he was partly on your side although agreed Acer should be every way better than Compaq so I bought it.
Let's just hope it doesn't broke down anytime soon.

But I think Compaq is better than Acer...

Agreed i mean it only had better ram and a bigger hard drive, you can update the ram later and get a portable hard drive instead. Whatever, it was your choice

@dan welcome to the board!
Also, not hating on Macs, but trying to hack Pokemon with a Mac would be like trying to eat custard with chopsticks. Sure you COULD do it, but other things (PCs running Windows or Linux) are much more suited to the task. While Macs are great for Sound and Video editing, PCs are more geared toward programming and gaming.

While it's obvious that you should use a Windows OS or Linux for hacking, Macs do have the option to dual boot!

Oh I know they do. But buying a mac just to put windows on it makes no sense, financially or otherwise. Anyway, this is an old topic and I really don't feel like going into detail on my actual opinion of Apple corporation, so I'm done commenting here before I hurt someone's feelings, which is what usually happens when I go into depth on how I feel about Apple.

That seems just a little bit ridiculous... For someone to get their feelings hurt from someone's opinion? Geez. When did people become so sensitive?

Apple fanboys cry if they don't get their way, or if their opinion isn't shared by everyone. I've seen it happen before.
Edit: Also Miksy already got the laptop so not much of a point of keeping this thread open.

You can try to hide yourself in this world of pretend; when the paper's crumpled up, it can't be perfect again.

Huh. Crazy world we live in.

Tell me about it. But yeah stag019 is right. Since the issue is technically resolved, I'm gonna go ahead and lock this thread before it gets offtopic into a big Mac/PC debate/flamewar lol.
