Problems With MegaMap.

Hey all. I've got an issue running MegaMap. I haven't hacked in quite some time and I've just been starting back up again. I prefer using MegaMap for events because the pointers are hexadecimal, you can edit triggers (IIRC), and other small bits.

Whenever I run the program, the program name will appear on my taskbar, but the program window itself doesn't appear.  Clicking on it to make the active window does nothing, it's just not there.

I'm running Windows Vista 32 Bit. It used to work before on here. I have no idea what's causing this. Any suggestions?

I have this problem with a few programs as well... I'm running XP x86 but I would be interested to see what anyone else has to say on the subject.

Re: Problems With MegaMap.

From what I've seen, it appears as though a lot of people have issues with running the program.

Re: Problems With MegaMap.

You could also try out Johtomap and see if you like it - I prefer it to GoldMap myself because it can be used for doing a lot of stuff faster.
*It also shows the pointer in hexadecimal, big endian format.

Re: Problems With MegaMap.

I seem to remember having to run megamap in compatibility mode for Windows 98 on my XP install (both normal, and the VM I have on 7). I'd give that a try and see if it helps.

I've tried doing that, disabling visual themes, etc. Nothing seems to be working. Shame I liked the program quite a bit. Actually would anyone mind uploading their copy of it? I could try that out.

Also, I've tried JohtoMap and I really don't like it at all. No offense, it's just not my style.

Here is a copy: I uploaded to MediaFire.

Don't forget to set the compatibility mode to Windows 98.

Re: Problems With MegaMap.

It may be the problem that the program load outside of the screen.

I don't know how to explain it... but it has something to do with move, drag and drop things.

Try asking Mateo for it...

Thank you!!! It worked. I didn't think there was any solution to this. Thanks a ton.
