"k(y" made their own debug menu function to cheat in Red/Green with ASM code, and annotated it (in Japanese) as well (SHIFT-JIS encoding).
They even triggered it using the "5かい" glitch item (0x5A) by working out which WRAM values it interprets as ASM, though for people who'd want to do that on a real game without cheating, I don't know if those values are easily changeable (or are even possible to be changed) in game.

Interesting indeed. I need to check it out when I get around it. It might also be interesting implementing it in the ROM, instead of the RAM, by putting it inside the main loop and have it run when a certain RAM location contains a certain value.
