CrystalText

CrystalText is a mod for Poketext which could only support gold and silver but not crystal.
Since I only repointed the data poketext looks CrystalText supports only Crystal, not gold nor silver (=the editor isn't created by me).

How does it work:
There are two directories in Crystaltext called Johto and Kanto.
By opening Poketext.exe in Johto folder you can edit Johto text + some specialities and by opening Poketext.exe in Kanto folder you can edit Kanto text.

If the editor asks you what rom is it when you open it click "Yes" for Gold/Silver Rom.

The editor is now in stage 1.00 and I'll update it if I find any bugs.

Ah, glad to see you uploading this here. I'll take a look at it and see if I can find any more offsets to add to it if you like, and I can host it on the main site as well.

I don't think I'm lacking much; the only thing I know this far is Lugia's cry text & pokemon's pokedex info.
For some reason I didn't put that pokedex info in but it would have been good if someone changed the pokemon in the game  ☹

Re: CrystalText

Ah, well that will be okay then. The pokedex entries tend to not load properly anyway, since they don't follow the same new line codes if I remember.

Re: CrystalText

For other tools go here:
http://crystalfallows.110mb.com/AutoInd … dir=tools/

Download G/S/C tools + CrystalMapUpdated & Trnpkmn
You can use Pokemon Gold Sprite Editor for editing most of the sprites but the others (like girl-hero) should be done with Tile Layer Pro.

Also don't download ItemEd G/SC since you have to use Mateo's item editor instead. ItemEd G/S/C makes the items buggy if used with crystal.

Re: CrystalText

I dont use winrar to extract normal zip folders. it causes problems. Try not using an extractor and use the default one on your computer

Re: CrystalText

I've done some changes to this tool when I've found out that data for the areas that I made in my new hack didn't exist.
Also offsets for some places seem to have been wrong.

I've decided to re-upload this editor soon but it still doesn't provide 100% kanto texts but johto texts should be 99-100%  ;)

Re: CrystalText

No problem :)

By the way, once you get to scripting (and repointing data), those inis are completely useless.
That's probably why I took it away as well (don't remember doing so though).

Re: CrystalText

I don't think I've had any problem with it, just besides the fact the scripts will get filled with junk letters unless you fill it with invisible spaces.
