A complete one, I mean. I looked around google and couldn't seem to find any besides the one that goes to up to Route 101, so I figured this forum would be my next best place to look.
Also, sort of related: Certain text tabs that I try to change crash the program with a BEX error thing. I've tried the "solution" of adding it to the exception list of what DEP affects and fiddling with compatibility settings, but no dice. Any info on fixing that?

Download the table file for ruby and search for the text in rom with hex editor.
It's very simple really. Once you've found the text, use its address in the ini-file.

In a sense, that'd be defeating the purposes. If he does that, he might as well just use the hex editor to change the text. That in itself is fairly easy to do and more recommended.

This assumes that Advance Text has no features that a hex editor doesn’t already have. This may or may not be true—I have not used Advance Text, so I don’t know.
Plus, if he makes an ini, he could share it with people.
well advance text repoints the text automatically if the text is longer than the original. that's the only advantage. im not sure if it gives you the offset though so i'd consider it a sloppy job if you've no idea where to look.
