Curiosity drives me to ask this

hey skeetendo, thought i'de say hi cause i haven't posted in a while, mainly cause i got out of hacking sadly D: actually pokemon completely in that aspect. but i dunno, ever since my computer broke and i got my laptop, i've had this weird inspiration to start hacking again, but i cant for some reason. but just now an idea hit me, yeah it makes me seem lazy, but does anyone have a hack they started that they dont ever want to continue that i could build off of? i was never able to do a hack from scratch myself, so maybe having a base would help =0

Re: Curiosity drives me to ask this

Yeah man, take a shot at this one. It's a red hack that I apparently started back in '03. I have no idea where I was going with it or what I was doing, so you'll basically have a red rom with some new graphics and maps to get you started, maybe some slight things to fix such as text related oversights (lines going over and whatnot) but you'd fix that anyway if you went in to change text.

To be honest, I don't think this hack really even had a story, so you can pretty much do what you want to with that. I think its intention was just sort of drawing a new region over Kanto and letting you explore it, or something. Haha. Like I say, it was '03. Feel free to do what you want with it.

Any time man! And now more than ever, there is getting to be a lot of documentation on Red. I wish I'd had all this info back in '03 lol

Re: Curiosity drives me to ask this

Ha thanks man. I think most of the new tiles came from either G/S or Pokemon TCG. Hopefully I didn't make things buggy with any of those back then, but I believe there is better tileset documentation now so if there are any bugs those should be easily fixed.
