I want to learn how to use pksv but all I can find is links to Generation 3 specified PKSV tutorials. Does Score_Under's PKSV-UI work with 2nd Generation? Also is there a document on how to learn to use this?
Actually you can use pksv with the 2nd gen and up, but for the 2nd gen, you'll also need a hex editor to further understand what you're inserting, as for tutorials i dont think there are any because it doesn't fully support those games yet...which sucks..best to stick to your trusty hex editor for now and make a wish at 11:11 for it to be fully functionable with 2nd gen...

Darn, I've look at Tauwasser's Scripting Compendium and I did not understand it, so I thought I might be able to understand PKSV. hmmmm
Yeah that compendium is telling what the bit data means and such, its helpful, but not so much as helping you learn to script. 2nd gen scripting is alot harder than 3rd gen since the commands are so different, and the lack of tools to help. I'm intermediate for 3rd gen, but 2nd gen however...i have a tendacy to scratch the hell out of my head until it bleeds...

The compendium and a hex editor is actually the most useful thing I ever found for learning to script in Gold. If it wasn't for that, I would still have no idea what I was doing.
What I did was look at scripts of existing events and look to the compendium, see the way they did things, and learn from example that way. Did I learn it over night? No. Did I get things wrong several times at first? Absolutely. Did it feel good when I finally got the hang of it? You bet!
I remember back before I knew how BitNo. checks worked, I had a couple of interesting events in a really old version of Secrets and Rumours. You had a girl in Viridian City who was "impersonating a berry tree" and would give you a free BERRY every time you talked to her, and more infamously you had "Gramps" in Pewter City, who said something like this:
"Hey! Folks call me Gramps. I've got a slew of RATTATAS lying around, so I give them out to trainers like you. Here you go!" and then gives you a lv5 Rattata. Every time you talk to him.
PKSV is like 98% functional with Gold and Silver - the only bugs I've found out so far is with one of the phone commands (which I never even use) and "winlosstext". I use it most of the time to script myself because it makes scripting way easier as you can move commands around without having to overwrite the whole script data with a hex editor (and makes the script look a lot simplier as well).
I've made a tutorial about scripting which can be found here and has pksv reference:

Have you reported these to score_under, since you know the details?
I believe I wrote them as a post in his pksv thread but no, I haven't straight.
