Re: Unown in Pokemon Red adn Blue?

You could. I don't know how difficult it would be though. (And I can't help you... I don't have time and I don't know the disassembly all that well, sorry.)

You could probably start by overwriting the MissingNos with Unown forms. Because there are 39 MissingNos but only 26 Unown forms, so that's more than enough. You'd just need to add in stat data, the moveset data (you'd also need to add Hidden Power to the game, as that attack doesn't exist in Red/Blue), etc. and update the pointers accordingly. (Updating the moveset and TM list would be easy, as Unown can only learn one move lol Same for evolution data... Unown doesn't evolve)

The tricky part would probably be in getting all the Unown forms to share the same Pokédex number. Because I believe that in Red and Blue, the graphics are determined by the Pokédex number (rather than the index number as you might expect). So if you give two Pokémon the same Pokédex number, they're going to have the same picture. Which is not what you want... you want 26 different pictures, and you want them all to share the same Pokédex number...
edit - nevermind... I think I was wrong about the graphics being determined by the Pokedex number. Not sure where I got that idea from.

Are You sure about that?
AFAIK You can't have more than one Pokémon sharing a pokédex number. Do you know how do You this?

I'm actually not sure, lol. Maybe I was right the first time.

But I have noticed that this sometimes happens with glitch Pokemon. There's a glitch Pokemon that shares Dodrio's Pokdex number, but it doesn't share Dodrio's sprite. Rather, its sprite is a garbled Bulbasaur sprite for some reason. So it seems that two Pokemon sharing the same Pokedex number can have different sprites (as is the case here, where the Dodrio (#085) has a Dodrio sprite while the glitch Pokemon (also #085) has a garbled Bulbasaur sprite). But then again, I don't know. I haven't used the disassembly. I'm just going off observation and secondhand knowledge.
