I suppose this is a really nooby and broad question, but I think its a relevant one. Regarding map connections in Gen 1 I could only find old threads that focused on hex editing, or tutorials on Gen 2.
Mostly I just want to know how I could edit map connections for my own custom maps with Pokered. And currently I am completely lost on what to do. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
For a specific example, could somebody please explain to me why the MapHeader data of Route4 (relating to CeruleanCity) says this:
db SOUTH | EAST ; connections
EAST_MAP_CONNECTION ROUTE_4, CERULEAN_CITY, -3, 1, CeruleanCity_Blocks, 1
And the MapHeader Data of Cerulean City (regarding Route4) says this:
db NORTH | SOUTH | WEST | EAST ; connections
WEST_MAP_CONNECTION CERULEAN_CITY, ROUTE_4, 4, 0, Route4_Blocks
How do those numbers connected those map points?
