Yeah, the ram addresses were different by Gold and Silver, but I've found them searching on Google, Thanks for the informations about the script strings.

I miss only the Safari game battle type and the fossils sprites and will be complete, for the safari game I've found leftovers from Generation I in the Crystal disassembly on Github.

I'm still planning to help you look into that leftover Safari code when I get the chance. I should be less busy with IRL stuff by tomorrow afternoon, so I can help you look then.

Solved also the Crystal glitch in the SCIENCE MUSEUM when you back from POKéMON MANSION, now the PWETER sign is shown correctly!

Now Crystal 2.0 is working without bugs like my other hack of Gold and Silver, the project is near to the end!

If restoring the Gen. I Safari Game as-is is too much trouble, you could potentially go the way OR/AS went. The Safari Zone is still there, just like in Gen. III R/S, but the Safari Game itself has been removed. You can freely enter and encounter wild Pokémon, and you battle them just like any other wild Pokémon battle. Not limited to Safari Balls, you can attack and weaken them, they won't randomly flee, etc.

Since HG/SS never set any standards as far as Kanto Safari Zone goes, such a Safari Zone wouldn't feel much out of place in my opinion.
It would be really cool to have a fully functional one like Gen. I had, don't get me wrong, but I think that one like OR/AS has could be a good alternative.

Ok, thank you. However how it works? If you fly out the steps counter remain or not? Maybe if you fly out after the end of the steps you are re-called in the entrance and maybe when you escape out you in the glitch city? XD

I'm at the same point, need of SAFARI ZONE routine, fossils pic in the museum and a way to fix the bug that don't show Cinnabar Island sign in Crystal 'cause I moved the areas for insert the new one, Cinnabar is now at the same point of the old Indigo Plateau and when enter in the area don't show the map sign of the area.

Sadly it looks like this project is dead, which is unfortunate because this would be cool. There are hacks like Polished Crystal that add the missing areas to Kanto but they also make a bunch of other changes which I'd prefer not to have.

The project isn't totally died. Sorry for the waiting, but I had problems with it. However Will be completed I hope, Thatnks to Rangi I fixed a Crystal bug today. And then I want to continue.

I miss only the fossils in the museum and the Safari zone I think.

I did something else in Crystal. An eternal prototype TM that teach Flamethrower, Ice beam and thunderbolt without limits in the Pokémon Mansion, found in the ruins by a scientist that tell you that will be analyzed to make eternal TMs in the future (starting from Black and White maybe :D) but I don't say you when you can unlock it, isn't available the first time when you go in the Mansion ruins. :P

I recycled the movetutor script cleaning it by the coins price and the daily limit. If you unlock it you could back to the mansion to re-use it anytime. :P

For now I can do this only in Crystal 'cause I don't know how copy the special asm feature in Gold and Silver, when I tested the work I found a shiny legendary, in my life in GEN II I found without cheating only a Koffing in the Burned Tower years ago, but I lose it 'cause I didn't save and I had the walktrough walls code set to on and I forget to turn off it before exit from the tower and the game crashed... XD

And now I found a shiny legendary, invalid for the official transporter, 'cause is a legendary added in my project, but the luck is that the probability with the legendaries are lower. Tried to transfer with the pokégen to S/M converted it into an all 31 IVS pokémon with a timid nature! Wow!

Finally found a way to add the fossils, without add new asm or trainer classes! The problem was a routine called "IsAPokemon", that checked if the pokémon was valid, now if a ????? is forced to appear the game could crash, but normally a ????? don't have to appear. For now I did succesfully only in US and italian Crystal, but soon I hope to did it also in Gold and Silver when I'll find the same routine to nop it!

My progress is going further, this is the Safari battle type in the italian Crystal rom:

Without add it trough the disassembly (that isn't existing for the italian roms) I only added manually the Mateo instructions from Github in the same bank free space trough GBCasmEdit, once found the italian offsets for the called routines.

I have only a strange bug like the balls that don't decrease when used, I linked the usate to the PARK BALL that have the same effect, but strangely I have this strange bug. Except for this works, also in italian Silver, I have only an additional bug, if the pokémon runs from the PARK BALL the HP bar appear for the trainer and the game don't tell me nothing about anger/eating status, however don't crash or something else, if the pokémon don't run randomly is however catchable. I'll do the same work also in the other 4 roms (Crystal, Gold and Silver US and italian Gold) when I'll solve it. However the project isn't died.

Will be released together with the italians. Mateo told me that the harder part of the safari game code was that. Then I'm waiting a way to switch to the battle type and maybe for the steps... XD
