I downloaded the dark energy beta 5 .RAR, and I was only able to get the application from the download. How can I format the application in a GBC file?

check the folder for a patch file, usually a .ips file, you can use it to patch the base rom
otherwise you'll have to build it by installing rgbds and then running make on the folder

There is no patch file or .ips file. I never built a base rom and installed rgbds before. How can I do it? Is it easy to do?

Hi,
I haven't released beta 5 for DE, so what you have found there is simply a fake. I'll try to get beta 5 done later this year or next year though. May actually have a lot of time working on it during summer.

This question is for Miksy91. I was wondering if you have completed DE Beta 5 this summer. If you have completed it and if you're still waiting to check if it's in good condition before the time of release, I was thinking if I can do you a favor. Of course it's entirely up to you, but could you send me the in-progress file of DE Beta 5 so I can test it out for you? If you're already doing it now, that's okay. I just thought I can be a backup and test it out, just in case you need someone else to test it while you're busy with other things and I can find and report bugs and glitches, if I run into any. I have a GB Everdrive, and I know it can work just as good as the emulator. I also beat the whole game of DE 4.1, so I should have no problem beating this one too. Let me know what you think of this idea and we'll take it from there. Cheers!

Hi,
I unfortunately have quite a lot to work on for beta 5, or possibly final release if I decide not to release beta 5 at all, and have the final release next.
I'm working on the hack though. Haven't been doing so regularly, but last time got more stuff done the previous weekend.

Hi I have been playing your game DE since 4.0 and I am glad that you have not quit this hack and that you are still making it. When this game is complete will it be longer than the Gen 2 Pokémon games?
