Trainer ID of player vs. that of pokemon you can get by trading

Hi,

I guess I could spend some time taking a look in the disassembly (which I have been using quite a lot to find out stuff for Silver lately), but I was wondering if the games have anyhow taken in account whether or not the ID given to the player at the beginning of the game can match that of any of the people you can trade with? The trade pokemon have predefined original trainer IDs, so no randomization depending on the player ID there.

I figured to ask since I have been making it possible to get pokemon who have different OT than the player and wrote an asm hack that draws a somewhat random ID for them that's not the one the player has nor the same as any in-game trade pokemon (or the same as some other pokemon you get through this method), and this question just popped into my mind after doing this kind of stuff. Doing something like this would be somewhat useless if I already had a "bug" there that should be fixed then too.
