How would one go about changing types and their strengths/weaknesses? Also, I would like to know how to modify types and whether they are physical or special.

My plan for types: switch dragon to physical, and ghost to special. May need to balance weakness/resistances due to changes.

One ASM document you may want to consult, at least regarding weaknesses and resistances, is type_effects.asm. But then, this is coming from someone who is more familiar with hacking Gen I games than Gen II games.
