Pokemon Silver Omega

I always felt that Pokemon G/S/C needed a few changes. Nothing major, but I feel like the Rocket Grunts were way too repetitive, Kanto was way too easy, the trade evos were just plain annoying, and the movesets of some Pokemon were pretty bad/ could've used some better choices. Not much to say about this hack, except for the fact that it fixes all of those things, including the trouble of getting all the wild Pokemon from both games, and the problem of evolving Eevee into anything besides Espeon/Umbreon. It's my first hack, I haven't learned scripting or too much advanced hex editing things yet but it isn't just some hacking noob posting a thread on things that he'd never be able to do; it's a legit...edit. No screens, but I edited the trainer's overworld sprite too, just to add a touch of uniqueness. Hope you guys like it! (:
  Glitches:
The Moon Stone/Sun Stone evolutions will say " Not Able " however they are full functional.

Link added by Mateo. This should be an IPS of the current version, although the author has stated they will release a new version later.

Specific Changes:
-All Pokemon that evolved by happiness or anything to do with trading now evolve either with stones or level ups
-Some Pokemon have much better movesets, such as Typhlosion and the Zubat line, also all Eeveelutions learn at least 1 elemental move at level 21 or 23
-Some stat changes for previously unuseable Pokemon, such as Flareon
-Both Gold and Silver sprites
-Changed Hero's OW Sprite
-All trainers in Kanto much more difficult than previously (Ex. The Rocket Grunt in Cerulean now has a Level 70 Crobat)
-MANY changes to Rocket Grunt lineups, making them a lot less generic
-Some Pokemon that were only obtainable late game are now obtainable much earlier

UPDATE: There will be a Beta 2 release with every trainer more difficult, but here are the other changes I'm going to make:
- Some Pokemon EXP rates fixed, making them easier to raise from the beginning
- Change the Hero's Overworld Sprite a little to look better, although the bike sprite still needs work...

Also: Credit to Koolboyman for the Totodile sprite, hope he doesn't mind me using it, I just really loved it.

I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones.

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

Is this mean you can caught all pokemon and legendary in the wild? Umbreon evolve with moon stone? Or scyther evolve with up-grade? Hoothoot is a dark type?

Can you list all the change you made, please?

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

You should make it available as ips.

Anyway, I like the OW. I wonder where the Totodile sprite comes from?

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

Really? I HATED my OW originally and was thinking of changing it back to the original, but I guess I won't now! :D
Also, the Totodile sprite is from Prism, forgot to credit Koolboyman on that one...
And yes, Cheestendo, a lot of the Gyms and Routes are harder. Just wait til you see Red!

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

You really need to upload an ips, or this thread will have to be locked. Quoted from the global rules thread:

1. No linking to/uploading ROMs. Only upload IPS patches of your work.

Please do not take offense to this, as none is meant by it, however rules are rules and must be adhered to by everyone.

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

I understand. I'll change it to ips format when I return home from Spring Break, which is this Friday/Saturday. I apologize for the inconvenience.

And Cheestendo, no, but Pikachu is level 100, the rest are 95+

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

I hope you enjoy the hack- honestly, there haven't been too many changes in Johto.
I'm going to release a second version (in ips format) that has major changes in Johto as well.

Re: Pokemon Silver Omega

Thanks a bunch Mateo! The new version isn't so much as an uprgrade as much as it is a higher level of diffuclulty. And there'll also be a Final version with new scripts and such, when I learn things like that.
