I also just noticed you have the same name format as Danny-E 33. How funny.
One may even think we're related. ;)

Thanks! Cozy is what I was going for with this one. :)

Cool. I also write custom music for Pokémon Red/Blue.

My second song, Viridian City, is now up. The never ending bass line was actually given to me by a friend. The rest, though, I did build off of the bass line. I hope you enjoy. :)

It sounds pretty nice, but you don't have to make the song so slow. You can also set the speed to 6, the tempo to 160, the rows to 32, and place 2 times as much between notes. That's much easier to make songs with many notes in a row.

Thank you for the complement. But these are just two songs, and I meant for them to be slow. There are faster ones.

Yes, you can make them as slow as now, but with speed 6. You just need to set the tempo to an other (preferably decimal) value. Now, you have kept the tempo on 150 (standard), but edited the speed. That wouldn't be supported by rbyImport.

Well Mickey is the composer. I am the one that writes up the music in FamiTracker. He writes up the music in Finale and then hands it over to me.
And I am not using FamiTracker and RBY Import to put the music in my game. We are just using FamiTracker to publicly present our music.

That would be a lot easier, to use these two programs for RBY music hacking. That's much better than writing everything in a hex editor from scratch, byte-by-byte.
But that's your own choice, to spend a lot of time for the same result. I only advice you.

That program is horribly inefficient. I rather write my music tracks by hand with care, attention, and common sense.

You can modify the music you made by rbyImport in the ROM. It's exactly the same coding as the original RBY soundtracks.

These sound pretty nice. I think Pallet Town is my favorite. To me the Pokémon Center doesn't quite sound like a Pokémon Center though. To me it sounds... I don't know. Like a game corner in a cave? It's definitely cool though. Nice work!
I am not very active on this forum. I only pop in from time to time.

Your custom Pokémon Center theme is the coolest you have made.

I am not rewriting a custom song for every song in the game, otherwise that would be a lot of work, and the game corner is one of the ones I am not rewriting. I have already mapped out some of the cave songs, and I am looking for a more creepy sound. My main goal is to reach a large variety of music throughout the game.
These sound pretty nice.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! :D
I now have a list of what songs I plan on rewriting.

Haven't been uploading my videos recently. Well, more on the way, check it out!

That will be cool, since I liked your present music very much.

I have two new ones up already. I made them with a different program this time, so it isn't 8-bit anymore. But I think you will like them. :D

It makes it harder to imagine how your music sounds in the game, since it's in 8-bit, but a I can hear it sounds very nice.

It does. But it takes a lot less time the way I do it now. Thank you. :D

Hello Mickey-A 42, How are you writing this in hex? I'm looking to see if I can take midis and convert them to red in asm format.
Offline
Mickey-A 42 composes the midi for my hack using his own tools and passes the midi off to me. Until recently, I put his midi into my hack by typing up the music files for pokered in the audio/music folder by hand.
However, mtolly has made a midi to .asm file converter for pokered. It has been very useful and really speeds up the process.

You saved the day again, thanks Danny.

Hey none of these commands work to convert:
pokemid in.asm out.mid # assembly to MIDI
pokemid in.mid > out.asm # MIDI to assembly
