Re: Changing EXP rates?

Yep. And what about the equation for 0A? I went to edit some of Espeon's stats and the EXP rate was 0A.

I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones.

Re: Changing EXP rates?

Espeon uses type group 0x00 (1,000,000 EXP at Level 100). It doesn't even have any 0x0A in its stats:

C4 41 41 3C 6E 82 5F 18 18 2D C5 00 00 1F 64 23 05 66 00 00 00 00 00 55 66 57 5B F4 46 1E 46 00

Re: Changing EXP rates?

Oh wow...I double checked and saw that I inserted 0A before changing it to 03 by accident, sorry.

Re: Changing EXP rates?

Follow up question: If I wanted a Legendary Pokemon to give the opponent a larger amount of EXP when they defeat said Pokemon, do i increase the base EXP, correct?

It's the eleventh byte that you should change then.

Re: Changing EXP rates?

Alright so I'm doing a run of my hack to check for glitches. I found one that's very curious - the Pokemon with changed EXP rates have their learnable TM's and HM's messed up. Poliwag can't learn Surf, Doduo can...lolwut?
How would I go about fixing this whilst leaving the EXP rate changes the same?
