Re: The All New Swampert Tools Showcase

Hi Swampert22, your tools are awesome.

May I ask you something?.

Is it possible, to change the attacks, of the rivals Pokémon in Pokémon Red and Blue??

If not, it would be very useful a way to change it.

Thanks by the way,

no

You can try to hide yourself in this world of pretend; when the paper's crumpled up, it can't be perfect again.

Why don't you just use project64 and trade pokemon with pokémon stadium 2?

Re: The All New Swampert Tools Showcase

So, I've downloaded some of these tools and every time I try to open a regular Red rom in all of them, I get an 'Unable to open' error message. Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a solution?

[This thread is like 7 years old]

Honestly at this point you would be infinitely better off using the pokered disassembly instead of trying to use these outdated tools.

Re: The All New Swampert Tools Showcase

This is pokered. The entire game has been disassembled into source code and data files.

Instead of a separate ThingEdit program for every task, there are individual .asm files for trainers, marts, Game Corner prizes and levels, starters, trades, and pretty much everything else. They're all plain text which can all be edited with Notepad++ or Notepad2-mod. (Unfortunately not Windows Notepad.)

Graphics are just PNGs that you can edit with Paint, paint.net, or any image editor.

There's also Polished Map for editing maps.

You never need to think about hex offsets because you use text labels for everything, which the assembler converts into offset values. "Repointing" is not even a thing.

Re: The All New Swampert Tools Showcase

Ok, thanks. I guess I'll have to make the jump to the disassembly.
