From the title, I made this topic to help all beginners out there that doesn't know how to edit TS.

I got my premade TS for gold.

You need to post here all the thing that i will need to make your TS such as GFX (4Color) and the design you want and I will give the
code for TILE ARRANGEMNT and ASM FOR TS . Pallete will be edited by you. you can find a tool for TS pallete on the tools section.






Note:If possible upload it on Imageshack

Hey, that's cool! Not the fanmade title screen for DE graphically (but it ain't bad, at all) but that you actually did effort in making one without anyone asking for you to do it.

The fanmade one you've got here could actually be a placeholder titlescreen for beta 4 until it would be edited later, we'll see :)
And I may ask you for help with it later, if I don't get it to work fine on my own that is.

If you're still willing to "do title screens", I'd imagine asking help with it later.

I inserted the title screen graphics in the rom today, did a few asm changes for repointing title screen tile arrangement and such, and started editing the tile arrangement. Something went "wrong" though since I don't think all the graphics were able to fit in VRAM starting at $8800. At least, I couldn't find all the graphics I was looking for.
So I pretty much quit for now. I could do it again, but the problem is that AgiXp won't run on the PC I'm using so I have to use another computer for that.

Anyway, if you're good at editing tile arrangements and it won't be much of a hassle to you, it'd be awesome if you could both insert the graphics and edit the tile arrangement for DE (or any other G/S rom file so I could copy paste them to DE from there, whatever feels most reasonable), for example for beta 4.1 (coming later this year I think ?).

Why did you repoint the tile arrangement? It is can already have
0x168 (in hex) that can fit on 160 x 144 screen of gbc. So you don't have to repoint it.

And for vram, you can have 510 tiles, 255 for vram0 and the other is for vram1.

Anyway, of course i'm willing to help you and i'm going to post it maybe tomorrow 'cause i been sick for 2 days and i can't use computer.

By the way, i made a new design for TS, I used evee and a orbs around it. Just one question how many orb can we get in all? I used 8 orbs.

How could I build a title screen like this in Gold?

Pokemon Peach

The "Press start" moves trought the title screen like the clouds in gold, and the scizor doesn't move unlike Ho-oh.

How could I edit this, please?

First disable the ho-oh animation. And repoint the palette placement that can be found at 0x636E. And there is a code that can be found at 0x63fe,
change the 21 5f c7 to where you want to start the scrolling. And 01 xx yy- xx is W and yy is H

I like having stuff "simple and fresh", and it looks better to just re-write data in blank space rather than data that's being already used (yeah, I could "clean" all that as well). I didn't know how the thing worked though - in other words, I didn't know for sure there was enough room for the tile arrangement to fit in.

Sure, I'd totally accept a different TS, but you don't have to do one for me now. Of course, if it's almost done already, I'd be willing to have it in beta 4.0.

There are 5 orbs in total. The colors of the orbs are red, blue, green, and there are two more which I haven't decided yet. I may change the palettes people events use, but not necessarily.
Anyway, I'd be interested in a bit different looking TS since Eevee doesn't have much to do with the hack. The storyline is, somewhat, centered around the Elemental Orbs so they fit in TS nicely though. But hey, if I come up with a "proper" design sometime later (like sometime next year, or a year after), and you're still around here at that time, something different could be replaced with it. The thing is, there are still quite a lot of things that need re-planning. I'm only certain of ~80% of the storyline related things in the hack and I'll try to improve it all the time.

One orb could be black indeed.
White is not one of the existing palettes though so the other one most likely wouldn't be white.

Wow! That looks SO AWESOME!

Really, I was never expecting the title screen you made to be that good.
One problem though - it shows my nickname as "Misky91" instead of "Miksy91".

Also, I wasn't totally expecting you to share straight rom files to me. I take it they contain changed title screens (just like that text document you provided info about the changes makes me think), right ?

Anyway, I'll just check it in the game if I can manage making the nickname show properly just by editing tile arrangement. If it's not possible, would you mind doing me one last favor and correcting that error? Either way, brilliant job! :)

Edit:
And I'm actually only interested in the title screen in which Orbs are in different colors. The other one won't be needed.

Looks like you, RED, are back so I'll just post a new message instead of editing the previous one (so that you'll see this of course).

I won't need any more help after all. I actually don't want to show neither my nickname, nor "Copyright" sign and such in the title screen. Beta 4.0 will stay but the other stuff goes away. I've introduced myself a couple of times in the hack anyway.

But hey, thanks a lot for the title screen and it will definitely go into the game!

Okay, took me a while but I got the title screen working fine now.

First, I was planning to copy paste all the changed data but you didn't actually cover all of it in that text file.
I noticed there were several routines you "NOPped out" of rom bank 0 with straight return (C9) code.
You sure they didn't do anything else expect for handle things related to the title screen?

Just asking, I really want to make sure no errors pop because of this you know :)

All of them are to stop the original animation for Lugia and for the egg and to work the blinking animation perfectly without any errors. So you don't need to worry if there will be a error.

Actually, I found out the changes of rom bank 0 disabled RTC which I'm plan on keeping in (at least for now).
But I had no trouble fixing things back to what I like them to be so no need to worry about that.
