I had to take a break from Sterling Silver because I was overloaded with school work and such, and now that I'm on summer break, except when I'm with friends and working, I have loads of free time that I wanted to dedicate to working on it. But I'm finding it hard to find the push too. I guess you could say I don't have the patience for it, or maybe it's because I'm working alone and it'd be funner if I had a team, but I really wanted to know if anyone else felt like this? I really do want to finish SS one day, but it's just a very distant goal right now.

I know that feel. My motivation to work on hacks comes and goes. Some days I go to town on it, and other days I feel like I'd rather do anything but try to fool with making a game. Not really sure what to do about it though except work on things when you feel like it and do other things when you don't. Since its just a hobby after all.

You're right about that mate, I'll just have to wait and see until I feel like it. I usually get the feeling eventually, it just takes some time

Man, my motivation is zero. But I spend my time a little bit by my new interest: The Great Wall Of China. I search information on Google about it to kill my boredom.

I know this feeling mate, all we need is a 'push', a 'motivation' but sadly, we can't decide it to happen or not. It's not up to us anymore. Yeah, they're those days when you just simply can't be bothered with anything...
I'm the best there is at what I do. But what I do ain't very nice...

And I have summer vacation, so I don't really have something to do until I go to Greece.

For me, I had like zero motivation to work on Pokemon Christmas, despite having an upcoming release and not having a lot (in the grand scheme of things) left to do on it. But I started playing LinkAndZelda's hack "Liquid Crystal" and looking at someone else's version of Johto made me think "You know, this makes me want to work on my version of Johto" and so I started back working on Pokemon Christmas. Not ripping off events from Liquid Crystal, that's his own way of doing things and they often don't line up with my way. But just playing it made me want to work on mine, the same way that playing the original games made me want to hack in the first place.
So I guess my suggestion is: If you have trouble feeling motivated, try playing one of the official games or another hack or something in the meantime. Maybe it will spark whatever inspired you to hack in the first place again. Can't guarantee that it will, but its still a suggestion.

See, I'm the exact same way Matt, playing a game inspires me to work on it, but the interest only stays momentarily. Especially since I can't find a hack I can enjoy as much as I did Dark Energy, Brown, or the current release of Prism, it's hard for me to stay focused on the game, let alone having it be my push to work on my hack. I'm hoping X and Y might bring some of it back to me.

You could try Liquid Crystal like I did. I thought it was pretty cool.

Hm I think I actually tried that a while back, but you know what, sure, I'll give it a go.

It's really far along. You can finish Johto, Kanto, extra stuff in Kanto, and part of the Orange Islands.

It's a pretty good gba remake, I'll admit. More challenging, yes, but in a good way.
You know the glitches that exist in the Pokémon games?
Only the ones named "MISSINGNO." are Missingno.
The others are not. They are their own glitches with their own names.
Sorry, it's a... thing that bugs me a little.
