Hmmmm.....I've got the .ips file and I named a fresh Crystal rom the same as the ips (using mac, VBA autopatches as long as the ips and rom have the same name), and yet the game seems to be basic Crystal, same starters, etc. Is there a specific rom that should be patched to?

Seems to me he made the patch wrong.
