A friend of mine expanded japanese green to 4mb for me fixed checksum and fixed at 0x0148,but it crashes when emulated.what's wrong with that?i believe he's running the rom on BGB

what did he use to fix the checksum? if it still crashes after changing the mbc back something messed up there.
also you probably know this by now but mbc1 (what green used) caps out at 1mb and mbc3 at 2mb.
He did manually, then he added 00s at the end of the rom.after he saw the rom crashed,he even tried multiple times to do this.before getting 4mb size,he just changed the rom to be 1mb size, and changed at 0x148 (which indicates rom size) and fixed the checksum at 0x14d.anyway,the rom used was v1.0 of green

MBC1 can address up to 16Mbit of ROM, MBC3 can address up to 32Mbit of ROM. You should probably use MBC5 anyway as it can use 64Mbit of ROM and you don't have to care about MBC3's specialties ;)

How can this fix japanese green's expansion,Tauwasser?you've been clear, but i don't get what does it fit with japanese green
I tried the rom and it works.i even saved and loaded.i use gbc ad as emulator while he uses BGB and said it crashes.I contacted him to know where this ROM is supposed to crash.it appears that theis problem is only for BGB users.
