Pokémon and 'Nostalgia'

I've been playing the Pokémon games since I was 5 years old, my first game was both Red/Blue then quickly got Yellow after and have stuck around even to this day. But, with how long Pokémon's been around; even some of the newer games give me nostalgia now. Which seems kinda weird to me, it doesn't feel like playing Ruby/Sapphire, etc. was that long ago, but it's about 10 years at this point (it was 10 years for Japan back in september, but it'll be 10 years in near late March for the rest of us).

Diamond and Pearl were Late 2006/Early 2007, depending on what region of you live. I actually ordered Diamond in Japanese before it released, so I have nostalgia for both Japanese and the English releases. But, that was about 6 1/4 years ago, it doesn't feel like it was that long ago. And even Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal don't seem like that long ago, but that was anywhere from 12-15 years ago.  Time has really gone by fast, I'm already nineteen and still play Pokémon. Pokémon was a huge part of my childhood and I don't see myself giving up on the series. I still love even the new games, I look at every game objectively. I still love the originals, but I don't think every aspect of them is better than today. While in reverse, there are some things I wish would be more like the old days of Pokémon.

I'm sure in a few years when where a little deeper into Generation 6, I'll have nostalgia for Generation 5, I've been playing it since 2010 with the Japanese release of White. So, in 2015 that sounds about right for when nostaliga will kick in since it'll be far enough removed from the next Generation.

Haha, which is totally fine, I can see why you see it like that. They're the peak of Pokémon for a lot of people!
