Anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh?

Hey guys, anyone here play Yu-Gi-Oh? Thought I would post the deck I just built. Could still use some tweaking, I need to find a few more cards  :P But here is the deck list:

x2 Red Eyes Zombie Dragon
x2 Ryo Kokki
x1 Des Lacooda
x3 Pyramid Turtle
x1 Spirit Reaper
x1 Gravekeeper's Curse
x1 Poison Mummy
x3 Princess of Tsurugi
x1 Umbral Soul
x2 Regenerating Mummy
x2 Zombie Master
x1 Double Coston
x1 Fear From The Dark
x1 Despair From The Dark

x3 Sakuretsu Armor
x2 Cemetary Bomb
x1 Tutan Mask
x3 Magic Cylinder
x1 Scrap-Iron Scarecrow
x1 Bad Reaction to Simochi
x1 Raigeki Break

x1 Monster Reborn
x2 Soul Taker
x2 Black Pendant
x1 Everliving Underworld Cannon
x2 Zombie World
x2 Call Of The Mummy
x3 Book Of Life
x1 Mystical Space Typhoon
x2 Magical Stone Excavation
x3 Ookazi
x2 Tribute To The Doomed
x1 Dark Hole

The strategy is a combination of dealing direct damage and destroying your opponent's monsters without having to be more powerful, and of course using the Zombie way of having your monsters (and your opponents monsters) come back again and again to keep after it.

This thread can be a place to talk about your decks, ask for advice on them, or just talk about the game in general for now.

I am not very active on this forum. I only pop in from time to time.

Re: Anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh?

I left YGO two years ago, as these strange Synchro Cards came out. I still hate them. lol

I had a Gadget deck. Here's an extract from Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia:

A Gadget Deck is a Deck Type that is designed to use the effects of the Gadgets monsters "Red Gadget", "Yellow Gadget" and "Green Gadget" to gain Card Advantage. Summon one Gadget and add another to your hand, to get ahead in card advantage and use 1 For 1 Cards to remove as many opposing cards as possible while staying ahead with extra cards you added to your hand with each Gadget.

The deck also can support 6 One Turn Kill strategies; [...]. The sixth is to quickly fill your Graveyard with Gadgets and play Overload Fusion to summon Chimeratech Overdragon with a massive ATK value. This last way is quite risky, and should be considered only as a last-ditch attempt to win the Duel.

Anyway, my deck:

Monsters (22x):
1x Caius the Shadow Monarch
1x Mobius the Frost Monarch
2x Cyber Dragon
2x Red Gadget
2x Green Gadget
2x Yellow Gadget
3x Cyber Phoenix
1x Sangan
1x Breaker the Magial Warrior
1x Snipe Hunter
3x Hydrogeddon
1x Magician of Faith
1x Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
1x Blue Thunder T-45

Spells (11x):

1x Monster Reborn
1x Enemy Control
2x Shrink
1x Brain Control
1x Premature Burial
1x Heavy Storm
1x Shield Crush
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Overload Fusion
1x Future Fusion

Traps (7x):

3x Sakuretsu Armor
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Torrential Tribute

1x Chimeratech Overdragon
1x Cyber Twin Dragon

Btw, I like the idea of your Zombie Burn deck but I think it's too zombie-based. Monsters like Des Koala, Marshmallon or Lava Golem kill your opponent with more probability.

Re: Anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh?

I play Yu-Gi-Oh every Saturday in either a local tournament at my hobby store or if there is a regional close by some of my friends and I will travel to it. Two weekends ago I attended a regional in Maplewood Minnesota and got 28th place out of around 250 people. Since the top 32 got nationals invites I got mine for the season. This will be the third year in a row that I'll go to nationals.

I got 28th place with my psychic deck. Here is what I played.

Monsters: 19
3x Silent Psychic Wizard
3x Serene Psychic Witch
2x Hushed Psychic Cleric
1x Destructotron
1x Esper Girl
1x Psychic Jumper
1x Psychic Commander
1x Sangan
1x Caius the Shadow Monarch
1x Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
2x Maxx "C"
2x Effect Veiler

Spells: 13
3x Emergency Teleport
2x Miracle Synchro Fusion
2x Pot of Duality
1x Pot of Avarice
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Heavy Storm
1x Monster Reborn
1x Dark Hole

Traps: 9
2x Solemn Warning
1x Solemn Judgment
2x Torrential Tribute
2x Fiendish Chain
2x Safe Zone

Extra: 15
1x Magical Android
1x Psychic Nightmare
1x Psychic Lifetrancer
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
1x Overmind Archfiend
1x Hyper Psychic Blaster
1x Ultimate Axon Kicker
1x Naturia Beast
1x Naturia Barkion
1x Ally of Justice Catastor
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Scrap Dragon
1x Leviair the Sea Dragon
1x Chimeratech Fortress Dragon

Side: 15
2x Thunder King Rai-Oh
2x Cyber Dragon
2x Nobleman of Crossout
2x Soul Taker
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
2x Royal Decree
2x Gozen Match
2x Rivalry of Warlords

I don't play Gransoils even though I have two. I think Psychics should be played as a control deck not a aggro deck. That is why I played Safe Zones.
I love getting a first turn Naturia Beast or Naturia Barkion and then playing Safe Zone on it, plays like that slow the tempo of the duel down so you can get your engine rolling and start dropping dudes like Overmind Archfiend and Ultimate Axon Kicker.

I got the idea for the Caius from Dubkdad1 on youtube and it was so clutch. Having the spot removal is amazing, and it pairs so well with Cleric. My favorite play with it is Cleric, banish Esper Girl, tribute for Caius and remove a monster (I removed a Grapha, Sangan, and Catastor with it that day, plus some backrow during other duels) get back Esper, banish top card fd, then sync for Thought Ruler Archfiend and get a free card.

Destructotron is also amazing at baiting out backrow or munching them up. I once used it's effect four times in one turn against a Hero player and managed to push to game that turn because of it.

I also play a lot of hand traps because honestly when your at the top tables and Wind-Ups are going to open Shark and Magician, hand traps are what save you the most. Maxx "C" is the nuts right now. I highly recommend it in this deck at 2-3 copies. It was so good that day.

Anyways thats my two cents and hope you like the list and try some new ideas with it.

Also if anyone wants to play me on dueling network, my sn is the same as this one: theoblivinator.

Re: Anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh?

i'm not playing cards anymore but i used to somehow, maybe you can add monter cards with flip effect,it annoys me the most!they can do anything from destroying some card to inflicting direct damage to your opponent.but i dont remember a card doing so,and for me zombie type deck is plain awesome!paired some water type cards.

Re: Anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh?

I played from 2002 to 2008, and collected until mid-2009. I simply lost interest, especially when they, in my opinion, jumped the shark with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds. I am planning on selling my collection to the highest bidder I can find locally, though I may not be able to find anyone who is interested in a collection that is completely pre-2009. To my knowledge, I had three "main" decks: A chaos/warrior/dark magician deck (those themes worked well together), an Exodia deck, and a god deck (for the god cards, Obelisk, Slifer, and Ra). The god and chaos decks contained cards banned at tournaments, so the Exodia deck was my tournament deck.

Meh. Used to play but I gave up. Too complicated for me.

You know the glitches that exist in the Pokémon games?
Only the ones named "MISSINGNO." are Missingno.
The others are not. They are their own glitches with their own names.
Sorry, it's a... thing that bugs me a little.
